Yes, I am and I did try with a vpn. Very odd. It's now 48hrs. I'll give it another go now via vpn maybe reboot or factory reset the device too.
EDIT: Still no joy. I think it may be because it downloaded the foreign firmware upon connection. I'll try when back home with the UK firmware.

I've taken the podcast abroad where I set it up. I rebooted it but still can't see the offer. Does anyone know whether it's only available if the device is set up in the UK?

Don't know if anyone mentioned this before - note that any purchased film is only available for a period of 3 years & one cannot download it to keep for good (found out a short while ago when just about to buy a film) - from HERE:

Also managed to get my £20 google play credit too. I can confirm that I used this credit to purchase apps from the Google play store!

Only problem I have with this is that the Chromecast isn't shown on order. May be problems with proof of ownership, etc. Might run into problems for warranty issues...

EDIT: May I kindly request if anyone can perhaps post their receipt for this? I haven't really managed to see one...

I had to uninstall and install chromecast from App Store. Any problems call chromecast team 0800 026 0667 which I did (opened 24/7)

received mine yesterday and setup today, at first the £20 credit doesnt show, but I did BACK READ on this thread and found out that we must reboot the device. thanks

You have to ask why Google have launched a v2 of this when much of the chromecast software is still in Beta and not working properly?

Reboot didn't work for me. But, in the settings where reboot is I found another way to check offers. That opened a chrome tab to google play. The offer showed up :smiley: thanks for the help. If it wasn't for the reboot info I wouldn't have found it :smiley:

Try the allcast app too, I prefer that with showbox as the "other player"

I set up the Chromecast once, redeemed the free trial and then rebooted the device through the android app.

Went through the setup again and lo and behold, the Google £20.00 credit appeared.

I'm using the chromecast app, clicking top left tab, 2nd option is for offers. In there it just shows me 2 months now TVs, Spotify, Google music and minions 2 :/

Also £20 offer missing for me :disappointed:

Yes I have. They say it should be within 7-10 days from today, which isn't ideal as it's a Christmas present.

i ordered from the last deal (the Mission Impossible Rogue Nation one) on the 24th November and I'm still waiting for the Chromecast to be delivered almost a whole month later. Bad company, just buy it from Currys or Argos for a couple extra quid and save the hassle!

It's always the case, it won't show up on the billing as it's a freebie. Delivery says 4 to 7 days, mine took 6 on the mission impossible deal.

On the Google offers site it says that the credit is for movies only - is this the case or is it general Play store credit?

£20 credit seems to show up within a day... Wasn't immediate for me.

Just ordered this, i got emailed my billing receipt but no ETA on the chromecast & considering that's the only thing i wanted from the order i find that a bit ridiculous. Otherwise as per Lumiere's post above, definitely cancel or you'd be charged once your trial expires - I made this mistake when I forgot to cancel an Entertainment pass.

Tried to purchase this but it wouldn't accept my card and there was no PayPal option.

I bought the game 'This War of Mine' from the Play Store using my credit, so games can be purchased too.

You connect to your Chromecast and redeem the offer. In the past when it has been one per account it normally rejects your attempt to redeem and displays the code in the code field, so I guess you can just copy it and enter it in another account which has not redeemed the offer. Or, just connect to the Chromecast with the other account and redeem :smiley:
