Not at all happy. I ordered a Aldwick Goretex jacket for the sale price of £42, then received an email 2 days later saying "We sincerely apologise on this occasion we have been unable to authorise the payment therefore we have unfortunately now had to cancel the order detailed below. "

Which is complete nonsense as the payment was authorised at the time of booking and I did receive an order confirmation. I don't think I'll be using Craghoppers again if that's their idea of customer service.

Just to add to my previous comment - I found my package tucked behind my bin where it's been for the past week getting rained on. No note had been put through my door. This is Hermes idea of secure delivery.

I ordered the 'aquadry' brampton jacket http://www.craghoppers.com/brampton-jacket.html which is already 'reduced' to £42 without the need for the now expired 'promo50'

Possibly it may not be quite as good as goretex for waterproofness but personally Im very happy with it so far - I wont be fell walking for hours on end so Im suspect it will be fine in the rain for a couple of hours or so at a time - I also will only try to use it when its raining to prolong the life of the waterproof coating & avoid washing it unless I really have too

I wouldnt say it was a bargain at £42 more like good value for money - you can see similiar prices in places like TKMaxx but whats good about ordering online is that you know its a brand new item & its not going to be shop soiled at all which is important when you are trying to avoid washing the product to protect the waterproofing

I also ordered a couple of pairs of aquadry stefan trousers http://www.craghoppers.com/stefan-trousers.html
for £15 each after the promo50 discount which again Im quite happy about

the main downside is that they are a much looser fit than the kiwi pro stretch trousers I have already been using for years & which i really love - again I will only use the stefan trousers when it rains so can live with the 'bagginess' of them under those circumstances

I take it all back! I rang Craghoppers customer service yesterday and the friendly lady on the phone told me the reason why they had been unable to authorise the payment was that I'd given them my delivery address as my billing address and as a consequence my bank had declined the transaction. She was however quite happy to reorder the jacket for me at the promo price of £42 even though on the website it's now gone back up to the full price of £84.

So well done Craghoppers! Next time I complain about a company I'll be sure to check that the fault isn't mine....

Went to GoOutdoors to check sizes before ordering, and glad we did as daughter's 6 year old Kiwi trousers were size 14 and current sizing chart indicated she might need a 16, but size 12 was correct fit. I found the next size down Basecamp winter lined trousers fitted me better than what I would have ordered from measuring. Went outside to their car park and ordered 3 pairs @ £10 each and was surprised to get free P&P, must have been based on £60 before using PROMO50.

That was on 27th Dec were dispatched (Hermes) yesterday mid-day.

Just a word of caution - craghoppers stuff is rarely the actual price pre-sale as i have bought some fleeces and trousers from sports direct in the past. So as tempting as it sounds, you may actually only be paying the actual price it always sells for and the inflated pre-sale prices are just to entice people. Just my 2 pence worth. on the code thing, just tried to add a £42 (on sale) jacked and a fleece £17.50 to my cart. Applied the code and was offered £8.75 off.

I'm 5'7 and 10st 7lbs, I ordered small and it is a perfect fit, if I'd ordered the size up it would've been too big, so I don't agree with that advice. Having said that I seem to be in the minority in thinking this!

The code only works on certain items. I just bought a ladies thermic jacket, down from £96 to £24 with code and a Nosilife polo, down from £25 to £6.25 with code. If you put one item in your basket that works with the code any subsequent items that also work will be automatically discounted. You can then delete any that don't work.

E.G. £100 coat showing at 50% off on the website, i.e. at £50 will go down to £25 after code applied.

True - but 50% off something you end up not liking is still 100% of the £3-4 odd you pay in returns.

It's not being uptight - it's the principle of it. If i don't like the clothing, it simply doesn't fit as stated or is damaged, why should i pay to return it to them. Especially when they've got such a horrendous reputation in customer service online. I'm not that uptight about it as I'd have to pay for petrol and parking to buy instore - and pay more.
I tried a few things on in Debenhams, but I messed up an order and they couldn't cancel. But a free return and a rapid refund. Perfect.

I just went through a perfect return. They even sent a pre-paid label and refunded into Paypal.

I ordered a few things there, Most things on the site have 50% off but certain things don't.

You can expand the promo code box and it will tell you what items in your basket have the 50% off.

Hopefully they'll honour my order! I have ordered from them loads of times and never had any problems.

Its says the code only works on full price items yet the two i selected were on sale, as in had a red price next to a black crossed out price. Seems random.

They are correcting it as we speak as my items in the basket have changed price. The code is only supposed to work on full priced items so well done if you managed to order with double discount ! :stuck_out_tongue:

I added 5 things to basket totalling £77, I added the code and it said successfully applied but has only refused price to £57. When I click on the discount + button it has only applied the code to one item and says 50% off full priced items.
