They've done a good job limiting availability to dates most people wouldn't want to go. Most hotels seem to be for winter stays only. Useful if you want to get out the house and stay in a random hotel somewhere in the country but useless if you want to combine that with actually doing something when you're there.
Unfortunately most people like to combine hotel stays with sightseeing or other stuff so I can't consider this a good deal. £37.50 per night is a bit steep for what it is. You can surely get hotels for less than that in many of the locations listed during the winter months.
Thing to remember here - just because a price is listed as having 25% off doesn't mean it was worth the original price and the discount makes it a good deal.

Check the fine print for each hotel, some charge a nightly supplement wiping out part of the saving.

I can't see anything about this... do they have to be consecutive nights at the same hotel or could you use 1 night at one hotel and then another night at a different hotel a different time?

I believe this is for 2 consecutive nights.

All my Quidco's were rejected due to using a discount code, so suspect no one will get both discounts

Quidco will reject all Buyagift claims that have used the discount code. Tried this a couple of times in the past and they don't let them thru. Its the discount code OR the cashback, but NOT both. (Topcashback used to sometimes let them thru though)

really good price. Buyagift usually do a 20% off about five or six times a year and 25% a couple of times a year. With Quidco this makes it VERY good. have used buyagift numerous times. my other half and I go to the Pilgrim in Herefordshire. really nice hotel that now do an option for a 'direct voucher' i.e. they will match the cost you pay for the voucher - means they don't pay the buyagift fee. other hotels on the buyagift website may offer the same deal.

Travelodge have a deal on right now with winter rooms from £29 per night. That is £8.50 cheaper. I have seen much better Travelodge deals than that in the past too. £37.50 isn't a bad price but it's certainly not a good one. If it didn't have 25% off a higher price no one would care. But that higher price is inflated. It's like when Tesco change the price of something to £2 then a couple of weeks later claim it's half price at £1. That £1 isn't a deal, it's the normal price but people who don't know any better will jump on it thinking they're saving money.

For me personally, a lot of these hotels are in a different class to a travelodge so it's like comparing tesco value with tesco finest.
Although some people like tesco value, a lot prefer tesco finest.
This deal gives people a chance to stay in some very nice hotels, at a travelodge price.
