Apologies - The 50 pound discount code was applicable until midnight on 24/12 - I was lucky to be able to use it!
There is now another one - VCUK30 which can get you 30 pound off. Still a fantastic deal

Is the warranty with Sony or Co op? Anyone know what they're like for returns? I've been looking at the 8305 which is £700 in richer sounds with 6 year guarantee and I could go and collect and return if needs be to the store.

Although to be honest I plam to use you view box, Apple TV, PS3. So main issues should affect me. Once the updates are released I plan to use the you view record features.

Ok
Watched Gardians of the Galaxy - 1080p over apple airplay (from iTunes (i.e. not streaming)) - BRILLIANT
Tested - Apple TV Streaming, BT Youview Box, PS3, Netflix (via TV and via apple tv), Wukai
All looked brilliant in my opinion. No lip sync issues.
I have had a problem linking to maxell sound board (SB3000) using HDMI ARC, whichever way i do it just doesn't work (sources into soundboard then 1 hdmi to tv = sound but no picture / sources into tv then 1 hdmi to sound board = picture but no sound (although tv does think the audio system is there and turns tv sound off)
Just used an optical cable for now and that works great - although me`ns an extra remote than i hoped
Also have enabled you view on the tv - its great as the epg is the same as the bt you view box we have. looking forward to record feature being enabled about march.
4 year old got netflix cartoons running on his own - big netflix button on the remote (not sure this is a good thing)
Picture quality is fantastic (coming from 720p panasonic plasma thats was 9 years old)
I haven't seen any lip sync issues.
Screen was reflecting a lamp a bit more than my old tv, but not a major issue
Sigh light bleed bottom right corner, but only noticeable on a completely black screen (i.e. not in actual use)
Very happy (so far)

Thanks to Jjamezz for posting this deal, was a choice between this and Samsung for me and I was a little put off from reading some reviews on the Sony software but picture quality seemed superior to the Samsung.
I had my Sony delivered yesterday and very impressed. Watched "Bosch" Amazon prime in 4K and the quality was fantastic.
Similar to Scrooge review above, (thanks for posting btw) I set up Youview with no issues but I also use sky channels which work fine too. The Sony connected easily with my NAS server and I installed Archos video player from play store, videos work great and the upscaling of 1080p is impressive.
A tip I read before setting up was to connect with LAN cable to router rather than wireless and let the system update to latest firmware, took about 20 minutes total whereas some reviews using wireless reckon up to an hour. After firmware upgrade I installed apps that I wanted and linked my old Sony home theatre in using optical cable.
Very happy and glad I went for this, thanks to all contributors. Would be interesting if anyone has had a play with tweaking picture settings

By the way, If your struggling to view some 4K video content for your TV there is a lot on YouTube including NASA
anyone kown how do you set up Youview on the sony tv do you need an aerial i only have sky hd box and app of itv catch up and 4d dont work

You will need an aerial for youview setup, if you have no external aerial then you could try an indoor one, a bit hit and miss though unless anyone has recommendations.
In case anyone else is struggling with catch up services, I could not get itv, 4od or ch5 catch up to work through the apps and could not get them to work through youview until I disabled it and then enabled, this time putting postcode in, works fine through youview now
