OllieOllie2 - even though it's 2D it's far closer mechanically and in spirit to the original Tony Hawks than this pile of hot garbage. There's a good reason why the price of the previous games went up on ebay.



I found it played very little like the originals. The controls and physics were completely off (similar to the HD remake, which makes sense since it was the same devs). Here's a good video review from a life-long Tony Hawks fan. Jeff Gerstmann of Giantbomb nails pretty much everything that's wrong with this game, and it's not just the numerous bugs in the game

I got this a few weeks ago for £22.99 and gotta say after all the bad reviews I wasn't sure if I was making a mistake or not but I like it, lots to do and has provided me with hours of fun. I used to play pro skater 2 when I was a kid and the gameplay reminds me off that so I guess it depends what kind of game you are after.

Not worth it, as broke as the skate games but without the fun

They lost the tony hawk licence, this game had to be out before his contract ran out hence the rushed out game to meet that deadline.
It now has ninja turtles free dlc and the patch has supposedly fixed the game but I think £10 is my biting point.

Whats the point of releasing games if they are absolutely broken to bits, just lazy and greedy.

Needs more than an eye patch to fix it up for me, it sounds like a shambles so its put me right off. Will wait till its free on gwg which is probably gna be never, in that case, im still happy to wait

it has had a patch, and is no longer broken...at all. its actually quite fun if you manage your expectations, im having fun regardless :smiley:

And cheaper, hell even the original is still better :P

Hasn't it had a major patch recently which has improved on it's poor release build? Critic reviews are based solely on pre-release build of the game. More recent user reviews reflect slightly better from what I have read.

Certainly you should be disappointed had you paid £40 for it on release but £13 for it after it's had a couple of patches to improve things seems fair enough to me. At the end of the day it can be sold on eBay or to Cex & you can get your money back.
