Whilst not a £0.99, or even a £1.99 album of the week, this is still a good deal from a relatively new album, released earlier in the year.
The Day Is My Enemy is the sixth studio album by English electronic music group The Prodigy. It was released in March 2015 by record labels Take Me to the Hospital/Cooking Vinyl in the UK and Three Six Zero Music/Warner Bros. Records in the United States.
Recorded across a timespan of six years, the album marks the first time that band members Maxim and Keith Flint have been actively involved in the songwriting process. The album title is a reference to the Cole Porter song "All Through the Night", in particular its lyrics "the day is my enemy, the night my friend", although it is the Ella Fitzgerald version that first inspired the title track.

This album is absolute garbage...
Literally every song sounds the same and this is coming from a MASSIVE Prodigy fan.
First 3 albums defined a generation, after a decent attempt at a proper comeback with Invaders Must Die, this just shows that some groups need to know when to bow out gracefully.
Invaders had such promise that The Prodigy were going to take over like they did years ago, but honestly these songs are like poor b sides from Invaders and there is ZERO innovation here.
£2.99 wasted...
Still, they are one of the best live acts around and when playing the first 3 albums over and over again, they can "just about" be forgiven for this tragedy!

Pathetic album, Prodigy producing any old garbage to stay relevant, all this does is cement their downfall.
Only decent track on this album is "Ibiza".

Generic listen once album from a once industry leading innovative group. How can they release something like this?
Yes they can make some cash, there will always be people who'll listen to anything with a beat, but artistically I feel bad for them. Saw an interview of them doing a promo for a US tour some months ago. Bit cringe. Think they should pack it in, clearly their heart isn't in it any more.

Don't bother. Give it a listen for free on Spotify and you'll know you made the right choice. My partner and I are big Prodigy fans and we both spent the playing length with a "wtf" look on our faces. Such a huge let down after Invaders. Like other's have commented it wiffs of b-sides from the Invaders sessions. Just poor. Let's hope they can rekindle that spark for their followup. I won't hold my breath though.

I heard a couple of songs played on 6 Music before the album was released and was disappointed in what I heard then, and have not checked out the album.
Perhaps one of the main problems was actually allowing Maxim and Keith to be involved in the songwriting process!

I'm a Prodigy fan too, I used to collect all the singles and loved the B-sides too, but I thought it was a good album. OK, not as good as their first three (the first is my favourite; memories of year 7 school discos raving to 'Out Of Space'), but it's a good album for this genre.
Anyone tried the new Leftfield album, also dance/ electronic music? Perhaps better than this and quite comparable to their first album.

If they wanted to make cash they could have released a bunch of remixes. Easy to do for them and would at least be catchy enough to last a while. They put out a 99 Problems remix on Soundcloud a while ago and it was typical but good. Very listenable, loved it for a few days even. An album of stuff like that would have been worth a few quid.
