From the producers of Band of Brothers, The Pacific tracks the real-life journeys of three U.S. Marines--Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale), Eugene Sledge (Joe Mazzello) and John Basilone (Jon Seda)--across the vast canvas of the Pacific Theatre during World War II. The extraordinary experiences of these men and their fellow Marines take them from the first clash with the Japanese in the haunted jungles of Guadalcanal, through the impenetrable rain forests of Cape Gloucester, across the blasted coral strongholds of Peleliu, up the black sand terraces of Iwo Jima, through the killing fields of Okinawa, to the triumphant, yet uneasy, return home after V-J Day.

David Attenborough's worst series IMO.
Little narration throughout, hardly saw a sea creature, and hardly soothing with all those bangs going off. What was he thinking!?

Waited so long for this after the amazing Band of Brothers. Massive disappointment.

With it being a companion piece to Band of Brothers which was brilliant I couldn't wait for this either. However, like you I found it very disappointing and it was relegated to the cupboard of no return after a few episodes.

very good in it's own right. shouldn't be compared to BoB though, which people inevitably do, sadly.

Utter pish.Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. minus10/10. Maybe we were spoilt with how good BOB was,but I at least expected to feel like I couldn't wait for the next episode. I put this on when I need to catch up on my lack of sleep.
