The population has been decimated. The United States government has collapsed long ago. Twenty years after the outbreak abandoned cities are slowly reclaimed by nature. Roaming bands of survivors are killing each other for food weapons or whatever they can get their hands on.
Joel a ruthless survivor with few moral lines left to cross lives in one of the last remaining Quarantine Zones. These walled-off oppressive cities are run by whats left of the military. Despite the strict martial law Joel operates in the black market of the city smuggling contraband for the right price.
Joel is asked by a dying friend to look after Ellie a fourteen-year-old girl with courage beyond her years. What starts out as a simple job to deliver Ellie to another Quarantine Zone soon transforms into a profound journey that will forever change Joel and Ellie.
As they trek across a post-pandemic United States Joel and Ellie will encounter different factions of survivors that have each found a unique way of dealing with the infected humans the lack of supplies and the threat of other survivors. As Joel and Ellie struggle to persevere they must learn to trust each other and work together in order to survive the realities of this new world.
At its core The Last of Usis about the bond that forms between Joel and Ellie--it is the story of love loyalty and redemption.

Absolute 'must have' game at this price, a masterpiece in my opinion.
Great game. The frame rate on the remastered version on ps4 is 60fps. It does look and play better on the ps4. Still an amazing game for a 10 years old console No brained for£8

Yeah, if you have the option the PS4 version is definitely the one to go for (it looks better, also includes the Left Behind DLC, and can be got for £15-18 usually).

Even if you bought a goty version second-hand, the above statement is still true.

As an aside, there are some people still playing Uncharted 2 multiplayer too. Can't wait for Thief's End.

What is it with all the preowned non deals today?

Nonsense. Just logged in last week and plenty of people still playing. Very easy to find a full game. I switch between PS3/4 and notice no difference in terms of population.
Everyone retroactively made all their online passes free for everyone towards the end of last-gen. It's a bit knobish of Sony to be the only ones still charging for them unless you have a code.
If single player is all you care about grab this asap. It's a modern day masterpiece. If you plan to take it online well you'd best hope no one has used the online pass code. Otherwise expect to pay a further £7.99 on the PS store to download one.

Just a heads up. As it is second-hand, the multiplayer redeem code may have already been used. Just a friendly warning.

There is practically no one on it these days anyway (when I last checked) so its no great loss in fairness.
