Even if he has opened the game, he can buy a sealed copy and return that one using his 'more expensive' receipt. How do you like them apples, Mr GAME?

I've been playing the base version most of the weekend and I find it a very enjoyable game, but whatever.

I asked in store and the "wild run" dlc is a code in the box and not pre-installed on the disc - couple of people were asking previously (including myself!). Voted hot, holding out till the £10 myself as I'd paid so much for the first one and felt massively out of pocket!

Was not keen on this. I got the £5 preowned deal last week (standard edition) but sold it next day at work (for £10 - happy days)
It's a lot of game though for £20. Hear for the price

Irrespective of whether you rate the game, this is hot as the Wild Run DLC alone is £24.99.

I disagree with this philosophy, I think HotUKDeals should focus on QUALITY products for deals.

think I'd paid £45 when the first came out, I enjoyed it but had to sell for like £12 as it was just so buggy etc - looking forward to playing this though once the price is right

Weird question but does this include the season pass of the first game as well?

Nope just the base game and Wild Run DLC.
They did sell a complete version that came with everything but not sure if it was UK or not.

Sigh, typical GAME. They had this reduced all weekend from £40 to £25 in the sale (a week after release), now a couple of days later it's £19.99. I ordered it for a friend to be able to play with me as a surprise Xmas gift on Saturday, now 2 days later it's a fiver less.
Just spoke to GAME CS and they just say the price at time of order is final. I said I'll be sure to avoid using GAME in the future and the representative just responded with "that is your preference". GAME CS at it's finest, trying their hardest to please customers (or not!).

Email them or call them mate. If something is reduced in price within 7 days of your purchase then you are entitled to the difference in price refunded.

You was happy paying the price they was selling it at that time, if you wanted it cheaper you should have waited. Not the company's fault. People might feel the same about Rise Of The Tomb Raider... that was £40 a few weeks ago now it can be had for around the £25 mark.

Will never happen.
Look at most deals posted by any helper or a mod; They will go hot even if they're not any good.
Is a good price for a poor game hot?
Well it's the cheapest you can get that game in that condition, but imo you should vote on the deal itself (Price + quality).

Sorry but that's nonsense. All online purchases have a cooling off period of 14 days as part of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, starting from when the goods were received. During this time the customer can return the items for a full refund for any reason, even if they've simply changed their mind.
In this case it would be sensible of GAME to simply refund him the five pound, rather than create the administrative work of having to process his re-order, return and refund, and return the item to stock, because he is well within his rights to simply buy this again at the cheaper price and return one copy for a refund of £24.99. If GAME don't have the sense to do this, then I'm afraid that is their fault.

I work for GAME, you are well within your own right to return the game for what you paid for it then re-buy it at the lower price whether or not they refund you the difference. (assuming you haven't opened the game)

It has, but the game was on sale this weekend on Black Friday for £25, now literally days later it's on sale for Cyber Monday (which is pretty much Black Friday extended edition) for £20. A game which a week ago GAME sold for £40, because it only came out just over a week ago. I have no issue with prices dropping, you win some you lose some, but not when it's literally days apart from an advertised sale pricedrop. Anyone who bought it online for their Black Friday sale price won't have even received the game yet!
Yep, I'll probably take this route. It's just a pain in the ****, as I believe I have to pay for the return postage. Not only that but it costs them to reprocess and resend my order, when they could just refund me the difference. No doubt the admin costs of returning, refunding, processing a new order and posting it out will exceed the cost of just simply refunding me the difference. Not only is it completely stupid on their behalf, but it makes me want to avoid GAME even more than I already try to.
I know refunds are but not sure about partial refunds for price changes. Amazon UK do it to 7 days, and quite a few other retailers. But GAME make zero effort with their policies for things like this.
I haven't opened it. I haven't even received it yet. I can't imagine anyone else who bought it in the Black Friday sale has either, as I was pretty early on. Returning it to a shop would cost me a fiver in petrol just to get there.

30 Nov 15#34
"Returning it to the shop" wouldn't really be "using his brain" though, seeing as it was an online purchase... not sure you're qualified to be giving advice / being condescending, when you're quite clearly wrong.

Assuming he hasn't opened the game? Come on! All he has to do is buy the new game (which will of course be sealed) and return that with the old receipt to get his full refund. The barcodes should be the same so there you go, problem solved.

Excellent Game, I got It In Store when I collected my £5 Copy but I wanted the extra DLC & New Packaging so much game for the price and the Handling Update & Graphics being updated makes it feel like a more complete finished game.
