Spotted this today instore, not sure if any good or what?
My 6 yr old daughter had the original innotab 2, about 2 or was it 3 years ago, and my 4 yr old son often picks it up to play now.
The 3s - is it any different? The innotab 2 has quite a few downloads on it, can these be transferred?
Would it be suitable for my 6 yr old daughter, or is she too old?

Just remembered there is a huge problem with vtech at the moment. Think it means some products cannot even be used!

I think i heard that it turns off wifi for half a mile around! And the battery only lasts a few seconds! Or was it beasts appear out of the cold, night sky and eat all your fruit?
How about you pop back with some details when you know what you're on about?
I took this back last week as VTech are having huge problems at the moment as they got hacked in November. For the time being no new innotabs are able to be registered & used.

Spoke to Vtech and they said their servers are down because somebody hacked their data. They are not allowing anymore devices to be registered until they figure out what is happening, most other shops have took them off their shelves & Tesco gave me a full refund.

hi
did you tale it backto tesco even if it has been used?
my daughter has one since september and i am really tempted to take it back and get the £70 back and buy something else instead as i think they are a waste of money. normal tablets have more educational apps than these.
thanks

I bought 2 of these for the same price last year, the resolution and speed of the screen isn't good and some of the games are really hard to follow. I ended up selling these and getting them tablets for this year. All year they opted to play with our old skool iPad 1 instead.

Having had the Innotab 2 previously, I don't personally rate it or consider it to be great value for money. The games always follow the same structure and its just a standard repeated formula mostly. Games are very limiting and should have more quality about them. I think they need to be more captivating, for parents that want to delay moving to console gaming and tablets etc. The idea is good, using technology in a fun way and with education for kids, but it is really poorly executed. Maybe the Leapfrog stuff is better, I dunno never used it.
That said I can't vote this COLD and it is a HOT deal in terms of market prices. Is probably closer to where the price of the unit actually should be.

Which tesco ? and yes I would say too young for a 6yo.
they will pick it up and play with it occassionaly (especially if it's been out of sight for ages and suddenly the younger sibling is playing with it) but it won't hold their attention like a proper tablet plus, yes can't register it yet

I phoned up Tesco direct & they put me through to their technical support team, i explained i purchased the device 08th August & had kept it for my daughters bday in November. We opened it & played some of the games, but most of them you have to plug the lead into a pc to register & thats what vtech is blocking at the moment. They were very helpful over the phone, said they would put a note on the system for me & to take it my nearest tesco direct. I would take it back but phone first.

Thats a fab price! We payed £80 in march. We keep getting emails about whats happening with the hacking, the only info they can get is first names! We didnt enter any addresses/bank details ect when we registered as its a kids tablet and didnt want out LG downloading anything that is paid for and if no card details on there she cant!

They got more than first names. They managed to get pictures and chat logs & addresses. We consider the InnoTab Max for Christmas but quickly decided against it after reading about the hack.
