Cold. 10fps pretty must means this device is useless at 4k.

Just bear in mind that if you can wait a while, the same (and better) specs can be had from the Chinese sellers for £35-40.

I compared this to a few of the Chinese imports and the camera looks very similar in construction/specification except for what looks like the 2 extra sensors on the front of this one next to the mode button

The 4k is a bit of a gimmick on this but 1080p at 60fps should provide a very watchable/smooth image

The sounds of the paper are good.

What an idiotic feature. "Upscaling" to 4K.
No doubt just to sound good on paper to laypeople.

Anyone got one that can comment on still pic quality, it says 12mp but someone said 4mp sensor that upscales images to 12mp?

Yeah the most common sensor on these '4K' versions of this camera are 4MP. The fact that the description talks of 'upscaled 4K' would serve to back this up.
4MP is more than good enough anyway, it's all about how good the sensor and lens are. The best small camera I've ever owned was a Canon IXY500 (Japanese domestic version of the IXUS500), and it was only 5MP -- I've never had another (non-SLR) camera come close despite having higher pixel count. Just a shame I managed to damage the thing.
I have no idea how good the sensors in these things are btw -- I have one on order at the moment.
