I have some Chinese PS3 wired controller and plugged it to the Android TV box, then what happened? Worked perfectly just as the Android TV remote itself.

Crap, cheap and flimsy. Plastic is a little bit thicker than an icecream tub. Don't get me wrong they do work but if your heavy handed or throw your pads these will shatter.

Go with the Buffalo Classic SNES controllers rather than these, only a few quid more and better build.

I ordered one this morning. Can never have too many controllers!

If you're buying this for nostalgia, fair enough. But if you're looking for a controller for your PC, don't forget wired Xbox 360 controllers work fine on PCs.

Xbox One controllers also work plugged in with the micro USB cable. They will also work wireless with the wireless adapter available from GAME and other places for about £20.

Very true but the D-Pad's a pile of old **** on the 360 controller though, imagine anyone buying this will likely be looking to play retro/retro-style games requiring incentivising a decent D-Pad

Surely worth the £2.39 for the controller board and USB cable to be able to convert a proper second hand SNES controller to USB.

What would be better is to find an original and pop the USB insides in that to make for a good pad.
I have one that I use on emulators on the Mac. I'm not the worlds strongest but you can hear it creak and press in when you press the buttons. You can't expect much for just over £2 but you can't compare these to the original.

I bought these ages ago they are shockingly bad. I'd avoid and buy the buffalo ones, they are the closest you get to the real thing imho and worth the extra expense.

If you're doing a Raspberry Pi Gameboy build, you can cut these controllers up and use the D-pad, A&B buttons and Select/Start buttons and all the circuitry, because they fit nicely inside the Gameboy classic shell with a bit of work, and you can connect them straight to the Pi's USB port, which makes things easier.
I have one of these, and the quality isn't fantasic, i.e. right is usually pressed on the D-pad. It needs a bit of tender loving care with a screwdriver to make sure that everything is seated properly inside the device. Still, for less than a coffee, it's a fun thing to mess around with.
