Wrong, there have been studies that show it helps insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes alongside traditional treatment it's also an anti inflammatory & antioxidant although there hasn't been studies into that. Also it does lower cholesterol but studies only carried out on diabetics so may not hold for rest of populace.
The claims it can help people with liver problems haven't been proven but like many things, take it if YOU feel it helps keep taking it, if not then don't.
We have a dog with CDRM which is untreatable as it's like dog MS we treat him with a variety of natural treatments like black pepper & turmeric paste on his food and the difference in his movement when he gets vitamin pills & especially the turmeric paste is huge you'd think it was a different dog! We also now give him pancreatic enzymes and again they make such a difference without them he's grumpy & aggressive over food a few days of 1 pill with his food and he's much better & puts on weight (he was all bones when we started fostering him the poor lad) sometimes it's worth trying something for yourself sod the studies!!
I have a number of neurological conditions & nothing the Dr's give really helps so I often try something if it's not too pricey just to see if it helps as when modern medicine doesn't have answers what else can you do aside from turn to religion lol!

Bought some of the asda branded ones yesterday for the missus after a heavy night & she perked up a treat, definitely worth the price of a Sunday Express!!

Nothing is better at curing a hangover than a cold glass bottle of Irn Bru.

Or the sobering thought that they manage to get £1.40 for a copy of the Express.

Please do not use this stuff if you are taking the contraceptive pill - it can stop it working (the pill, not the milk thistle lol!). It doesn't say on the product, which I think is scandalous.

Anyone trying to recreate 'statistically significant' lab results (read: bunk) using OTC supplementation which is by far lower quality and often not even being metabolised the same way as the studies need to do a little catching up with reality.
