Steins;Gate follows a rag-tag band of tech-savvy young students who realise they can alter the past by using a microwave coupled with a mobile phone. Their experiments into how far they can go with their discovery begin to spiral out of control as they become entangled in a conspiracy surrounding SERN, the organisation behind the Large Hadron Collider, and John Titor, a mysterious forums poster who claims to be from a dystopian future ruled by that very same organisation. Without a doubt this is one of the greatest visual novels ever made, winning Famitsu's Game of Excellence Award in 2009, and also placing in the top 10 of their most tear-inducing games of all time poll
Any reason to go with one version over the other? Or just personal preference?

From what I read (been trying to make the decision myself) there is no real difference in the games between versions and its just personal preference.

I own both versions but I personally prefer to play this on the Vita. The PS3 looks nicer on a big TV but as it's a visual novel, there's obviously loads of reading involved.
For me personally, it's nice to just relax in bed or kickback on the sofa, as I would when reading any other book.
Great game though. Definitely recommend it.

Thanks. I've just read it's PS TV compatible, so I'll probably pick one of those up in the future when they're sub £30 and get the best of both worlds.
