A few weeks ago we bought my son some new school shoes from John Lewis and they were £47! Same shoes in the Charles Clinkard sale for £27.50 when you use code LIKE1. Lots of other shoes in the sale to with pretty big reductions. (Also 5.05% Topcashback)
They are better quality than clarks IMO but fit differently so you might want to measure your childs feet first.

Their printable guide and calculator might help. My son is measuring a D width using this but E fit him great (they were fitted in John Lewis although they don't have a measuring machine for Startrite).
Just wondering if Startrite ones might be a better fit for my son. I got his last shoes off of this supplier, but got his feet measured up in my local Clarks shop first (usually do that). Last year he was an E fitting but this year I was told (in Clarks) that he had gone down to a D fitting and that they didn't actually stock that width size, so because of that, I went and bought him an E fitting. Do you know where I can get his feet measured up for Startrite shoes (don't recall seeing a Startrite shoe shop in Exeter)? Thank you.

So I was told when we last got our son measured that startrite are half a bigger than clarks so we measured 13.5 in clarks and 13 in startrite. My son is also E fit but I found that most clarks E width shoes were gappy around the ankle whereas startrite E fit him great. You could collect from store and have him fitted?

Just wondering how the Startrite shoes measure up size wise as compared to the Clarks ones? My son has been wearing Clarks ones for several years now - he is 8 and is currently in size 1.5E. Do the Startrite ones come up smaller or larger - or are they about the same? Thank you.
