A great collection. Some take a little tweaking to get working on a modern system. It's easy enough to search google/steam to figure out how to get them working. Also there are some nice 3rd party tweaks for better graphics etc for some of the games.

That's where Game Ranger comes in, works with pretty much all the games that used to depend on GameSpy for multiplayer - https://www.gameranger.com/
I'm not sure if it was the floaty controls, or the vast scale of the levels, but when I first played DF2 (18 years ago, wow!) it made me feel vertigo for the only time in my life.

Horrible graphics, but it has great level design. However I'd say Jedi Outcast, Kotor or SW Batttlefront 2 to try before that.

Jedi Outcast and Academy are superior to any other Star Wars games for light saber battles. The best light sabre fighting so far in any game. Also the 10+ year old gameplay of Star Wars Battlefront 2 is leagues ahead of the new Star Wars Battlefront which came out this year.

Eh? I didn't suggest anything or reply to anyone.
I simply said I love the Jedi Knight series.

there's a difference between an overarching story of a single character's 'journey' and retelling portions of the Star Wars story. Never disputed gameplay.

despite it have story relevance to the remaining jedi knight games. Dark Forces 2 - you're really suggesting someone sit through that as their first SW game?

BF2 no story? Wrong battlefront. BF2 has a great story and loads of gameplay.

It really depends what you want out of a game...
if you want arcade lightsabre gaming - Force Unleashed (it has a Story) or Battlefront II (no story)
If you want something with long term gaming (and lightsabres) - Knights of the Old Republic II
If you want something inbetween (once again, with light sabres) - Jedi Outcast
Want to play SW Halo - Republic Commando
