I'm really enjoying the game! It lacks single player but multiplayer is great! Defo worth it at this price.

is it worth it at this price?, all I've heard is that its seriously lacking content but is visually beautiful and the sound is perfect. but gameplay just isn't there?

Yep, that about sums it up. It feels like half a game and some bits seem like Battlefield. Visually and audio wise it is stunning but lacks enough gameplay and the season pass is daylight robbery

yeah i heard all that too, good price for digital this is exactly the type of game suited to digital something u can jump right into on limited time without having to keep swapping the disc of various other campaigns u might be in the middle of playing just wish this price will be for battlefield 5

Almost exactly right, without the star wars skin this is a 4 or 5/10 game. I had mine for under a week and swapped for fallout 4. I can't see anyone but the most casual of gamers or under 14s enjoying this - I found it had very little depth to it.

blimey, you don't take much convincing. play it. it's really good. it's fun. it takes you back to the original films. there's no animosity from anyone one there. it's quick to get a game.

I'm enjoying the game. It's not great value for money but it is fun, in my opinion. I also prefer this setting to that of BF4, which admittedly I've played to death. One thing: there are some spectacularly terrible players on there  not being elitist (I'd describe myself as semi-casual), but some folks ignore objectives completely. Kids perhaps. And some people just spam homing shots.
But overall i'd say if you like Star Wars it's worth a try. Not a shocking game by any means.

Good summary
Not nearly enough maps and max lv. 50 reached way too soon so it's gone on the maybe pile already :disappointed:
Edit: good price - heated...
Worth mentioning that if you want the season pass, you will need to get it from the US store too.

Great game and price.
ea are releasing more content for free, so not strictly true about the limited content.
Would rather have a good Star Wars experience than no star wars experience
My son is pressing me for this game, but trying to resist it after reading amazon reviews.
Hopefully will drop in price after Xmas, I think currently Xmas demand and star wars movie release is keeping the price around £40 despite poor/ mixed reviews

Played a lot of the beta when it was out, but tried getting back into it with via the free 10 hours on EA Access and it got stale pretty quick. The game is half baked!

I love this game, I've probably spent about 10% of my time playing it on the normal game modes and the other 90% on squadron fighters trying to get the millennium falcon! Great price for a great game

Don't believe so.
For single players games at least, the saves are region locked.

Fantastic price, especially for a digital download too with how excessive the digital prices normally are. Don't get me wrong, the content is lacking but this is a brilliant price compared to elsewhere.
I've just sold my retail disc as I wanted it digitally so all over this. I use remote play a lot so the majority of my games are digital so I've got more selection to play when away from the console rather than just being able to play whatever is in the disc drive.
WoW now thats really cheap for PS4, have some heat OP!
Would have bought this if I didnt decided to have it on PC instead :P

I'm presuming you'd have to log into your US account on the console, buy the DLC from the US store then hope it will play back in your normal UK account.

So that's quite a large number of gamers then, don't forget hard-core gaming fans (me being one of them) get less gaming time as we grow older and have families etc. so a game that's easy to jump into and do well on without much practice is welcome in my boo.

Bought this for £40 when it came out. Even though it's lacking bit in content I'm still finding it really fun to play and i'm not even really a star wars fan!
TheOak
16 Dec 15#37
I'm 34, have a child, work the 9-5 etc. Just because I have next to no time to play, doesn't mean I personally want to fill it with meaningless tripe like this. When I do play, I want it to have the same progression in skill vs results as it always did, albeit taking 10x longer to get anywhere near decent

Are you able to connect to your UK friends still if using the US version on your UK account. I remember on my PS3 when I bought actual hard copy games (discs) from US I could not connect to my UK friends online using my UK PSN
Maybe because it was a disc, but wondered if it was different for downloads
