1. Download a VPN like Tunnelbear and install it. NOTE: Other VPNs are available! :wink:
2. Once TunnelBear is ready to use, select "Mexico" and turn TB to "On."
3. After 15-20 seconds, it will switch your connection to the VPN. NOTE: If you need to check this, use whereismyip.net, etc. to confirm the VPN has worked.
4. Visit Origin.com and put Battlefront in the basket. Then click on your basket to view the contents.
5. Once you're satisfied you have the right edition, etc., simply click through to the next page where it will ask you to log into your Origin account.
6. One final confirmation page and you should reach the checkout with options for paypal, etc. At this point, TURN OFF THE VPN! Once you're sure it's off (15-20 seconds for TunnelBear), click through to the payment page.
7. Finally, pay with paypal, etc. and it should all be straightforward from there. No other steps!

Glad I only bought the basic game , it's fun but it's not bf4 material. I will continue but I found I went back to bf4 today but will play again maybe tomorrow. Just my 2 pence worth for any other gamers.

I've used VPN's to purchase games before with this method but I'm not sure if I've managed to c*ck it up this time. Paid via Paypal but nothing is showing up on my Origin account.

I can't yet see if the Paypal transaction went through ok. I guess if not then I'll try again at some point, otherwise I'm unsure what to do.

I'm not faffing around with a VPN personally, especially for such a poor game as this. But this kind of price does make it a bit more acceptable as long as you don't expect too much from it, hopefully they will add plenty of free content due to the immense amount of bad feedback the game received but it is EA, so don't hold any breath.

Nice deal. Decided to do it. Didn't really want to spend more than that when there's dlc and some people aren't happy with the longetivity.

Do I need to switch the VPN back on now?

I'm stuck on the screen when it goes back to origin after leaving paypal. It translates to a do not refresh page screen. Should it take a while at this point?

Update : Well once the EA servers came back online earlier this afternoon my son has been playing this all day.....so can confirm it works fine. :wink:

Paypal cost on my account says it was £16.45 ! Can't see it being cheaper for quite a while.

As above i think the key was turning Hola off before going to Paypal as it gave me a few issues during payment.

I did bf4 like this and it was a nightmare to change it to English. Lesson learned.

So yes you can set it up on Xbox or PC or a router but why are you asking about xbox?

Confirmed working with Hola on chrome from Scotland.
Once u get to the page that asks for card or paypal just click the Hola button and then the power off button at the top right.
Page then let you continue to checkout and payment. I used paypal.
Confirmation has been emailed to me.

Ordered Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe $26.99 + Battlefield 4 Deluxe $9.99 = £24.79 + credit card exchange charge ?

Here's my method for the purchase if it helps anyone.

1. Went to a new Chrome page window. (Chrome seems to be the preferred choice of many doing this purchase on their Youtube Videos)
2. I searched for Origin.com and logged into my Origin account
3. I then switched on my VPN ( I used my IP Vanish account) and pointed it towards a Mexico server
4. Searched for both games I wanted, and selected each one and added them to the basket
5. Then I went to the checkout
6. Before proceeding with checkout I switched off my VPN Mexico connection and back onto my UK IP address.
7. Selected my particular credit card payment and filled in my details and paid by credit card
8. Within a few seconds I received an email from Origin confirming my order and the price paid...all good.
9. Then I went to my Origin login from my PC and logged in. Both games ready for downloading, started Star wars download first. Seems to be downloading okay.
10. Finally, I went back to my Chrome Origin purchase page, pressed continue shopping and then logged out of my account and exited the Origin webpage.
11. Just to double check, I went back to my Origin PC download which was still downloading the game.

As a precaution I took a screen shot of every page when purchasing just to make sure it went through at the correct price.

Worked first time. Downloading!! Looks like I'm on festive Hoth tomorrow morning. WOOOP!!!!

Finally got it .....went thru Argentina in the end .....basically VPN's are a pain in the c**k.

Downloading now 27gb.

I just wanted to inform them that not every region provides the english language.

As obviously Russian region purchases are significantly cheaper.

Instructions that worked for me;

Went to Origin Store (GB)
Installed Hola VPN, and then changed to Argentina (which reloads the Origin page)
Add to cart >> Login >> Pay with Paypal...
Log in to paypal so it then takes you back to Origin...Turn Hola VPN off and then submit the payment using paypal.

That's what worked for me.

Has anyone successfully purchased and received the game using the Mexico/VPN trick in the last 12 Hours?

Always had trouble buying these. I disconnect Hola either just before I enter my card/PayPal details, and an Origin error appears and it wipes my basket. Or when I disconnect just after the PayPal window appears, another error appears.

Don't know for anyone else but I think EA Origin store has cottoned on...Won't process paypal payment :disappointed:

Russia is a special case and the only region that works that way.

i bought the russian version and only have polish and russian commentary.

you need to do some tinkering to get the english.

I have never purchased outside the UK for a download game, my son wanted this for a Christmas present. I have IP Vanish as my VPN so I may give it a whirl. Can anyone confirm that because it's purchased from Mexico that it's safe payment and will it work and play as normal thrugh the UK Origin site.

It's safe. I've done this with Titanfall and battlefield, had no issues. It might be Mexican Origin, but it's still Origin.

Does anyone know if I buy the Mexican Fifa 16 (only £14) whether it is a mexican version or whether you can do the same as Battlefront and revert to UK Origin for the download and gameplay?

Download Hola Chrome plugin (see 1st post) and connect to origin store using Hola and a Mexico VPN. Translate page select game and go to check out.

For those maybe struggling, when it gets to payment screen or origin login (not the origina app [download this after payment if you don't already have it] but the browser) you no longer need the VPN at this point, connect direct.

Can your keys be revoked if you use a VPN? I've seen a lot of VPN deals (Mexican sites, Nuuvem) but I have no idea how risky it is.
