Absolutely not the case - I work in the industry and see this issue all the time and people always presume they are covered despite not booking an ATOL package. I often do it without ATOL protection but that's because I know the situation and have fall back plans as I'm in the industry but I see so many people come unstuck. I get almost weekly calls from people needing help even when I have explained the risk yet they have chosen to book like this to save a few pounds.
Each to their own if they understand but I hate that people generally don't understand and take the risk!

Im a native from Sri Lanka, the flights only cost usually 500 pounds the cheapest. this is a bargain. hot post like it's climate. Nice beach. Nice food nice people most people speak English all signs is in English.

Great price but very risky as it's not an ATOL protected holiday, not the kind of place I'd be happy to take that risk.
If you are then fare play to you - grab it and run as it's a deal!

Pay by Credit Card, and get Travel insurance..... That should cover most situations (I think)
