Ordered with the £30 voucher - thanks OP been looking for a good discount on this forever.
FYI Voucher code is 6LJJ6 and applies if you open a NEW Very credit account - although you can pay off balance immediately or opt to 'Pay All Now' at checkout. This worked for me.

Many thanks OP. 6LJJ6 worked for me too. I managed to miss setting free Collect+ collection so did pay postage, but still a great price. They say "delivery by 26 Jan" which is fine for me (at this price) but will not be for all.

I ordered mine on 23 Dec, got an email saying "We've despatched your order" on 24th, and the watch arrived on 2 Jan (well within the "delivery by 26 Jan" promise). It is working well and is an amazing amount of tech for just over £60. Thanks again to the OP.

Just worked for me .

Make sure you check your account, Very have a nice habit of putting the discount on your account, then taking it back off again 2 months later and as a result charging you interest. Plenty of people on HUKD have been caught with it

Had this watch before and think for a sports android watch its probably still the best at the moment and also has wifi, gps and NFC (not sure that NFC is much use to me as I have a OnePlus 2)
shame it doesnt have a HRM but I am not sure if any android wear watches have a reliable HRM
so i have a separate HRM watch

Great watch, GPS for me is the killer feature, I also use it with mediawear for music (better than using play imho) , so I dont have to drag a phone around with me when I run/bike. I havent used an external HRM but I have a mate with an apple watch and he admits the HRM is pants.

Nice! Hadn't really planned on getting a smartwatch for the time being (Garmin Fenix 3 does covers all the useful stuff for me), but decided on getting on for playing with. Dedicated GPS makes it a useful toy, although I'll need a BT HRM, which I don't presently have. Kinda wanted the yellow one, but such is life. Difficult to complain at £59 + P&P!
Delivery on 26th of January though - what's up with that?!

I think I ask this on every song sw3 thread, but does anybody know if the gps issues have been fixed. There was rumor of a new strap but it's all gone quiet anybody had any issues and contacted Sony about it?
speric07 to Dannyrobbo
23 Dec 15#30
Yes, it was only the initial release that had the issues. Android wear updates sorted many of the other problems. I got one from Argos and did a number of runs with near identical tracking to my TomTom watch. Didn't like the screen though as looked weird outside so sent it back. Waiting for a few more reviews of the Moto 360 sport to come out, as will most likely go for that!

My order went through about an hour after I placed it and now shows as £62.99 on the balance (the £30 was taken off the purchase, not applied to my balance), so I don't think you're quite right there, chap.
Still though, a month for delivery is a bit disappointing!

2 day battery life? When they get that up to 2 years, let me know.....

2 years is a very unreasonable expectation for such a device. However, I had one of these for a month and I barely got more than a day out of it.

No, I'm not a troll. The watch I have at the moment has a battery that lasts at least 2 years. If smart watches are to replace conventional watches, battery life will have to be extended considerably.

I suppose that you won't use a mobile phone then until it never needs charging like your landline at home....
It's funny people don't think twice about buying a mobile that needs charging daily but heaven forbid a watch needs charging every couple of days. It take 30mins to fully charge and uses a micro USB the same as a phone....really not that much of an issue
does your current watch with the 2yr battery also respond to voice commands, function as a GPS tracker, cylce computer, MP3 player etc..etc..etc..

I was simply commenting that a watch that needs charging every couple of days is not for me. If you are happy to accept that limitation, fine. I haven't voted either way on this deal.

24 Dec 15#44
For me a smart watch needs to be able to display the time at full brightness (or a brightness you can see normally) all the time (with a dimmer setting for the nighttime) and last for 2-3 days before needing re-charging.
Personally I am not bothered about GPS & cycle computer as my phone has GPS and I don't find looking at a watch easy when cycling at speed (during a training ride) so I already have a dedicated cycle computer that has GPS & a chest HRM belt.
I am more interested in functions such as the watch altering me to when you move beyond a certain distance from your phone or tablet (you have left it behind or someone has borrowed it without asking..) or using the watch to make the phone ring.
Uridium
24 Dec 15#45
This watch will do all of those. It also has a transflective display unlike other smartwatches making it easily visible even in bright sunlight. There are Androidwear apps available to get the watch to notify you when it moves a set distance away from the phone

From my own experience I wouldn't get sucked into buying from Very. I bought a laptop from them at a good price and when it did not reach me by the delivery date I received a refund. After enquiring about this, they said they had no other alternative they could offer me and even though it said they had 6 different models and colours all in stock on the website, they said that they had no laptop of any brand in stock.

I had to create a new account with a mispelled name, as another user in this thread said to do. I'd previously created one from an existing (non credit) very account and codes didn't work on it, I guess because it wasn't a "new" account even though it'd only just been turned in to a credit account. I then tried creating one with a new email, that just transferred my old details across.
Creating one with a slightly mispelled name and new email address (same postal address) was what finally worked for me, then the 6LJJ6 code finally worked.

Just beware that the Very T&Cs, if I recall, explicitly state that if they determine you are not eligible to use a code that was applied then they you agree that they can reverse the discount and charge you.

Got mine last week, took around 2 weeks for delivery. Very impressed, especially with all the notifications being passed through to the watch. The only issue is the weak vibration which could do with a setting to increase it. Hopefully an update to Android Wear might resolve this, although not sure if it is hardware based.
