Checked reviews on this. Some negatives about the Sony app.
Anyone know how it compares to the Sonos Play 5?
Great price btw

Not had any issues with the app - sometimes it can take a minute to sync with the app. I have it wired via USB to my laptop and play Spotify wirelessly off my phone without any issues.
It's not really portable - Requires to be plugged in to the mains

The Mission Aero is £199 at Richer sounds if you mention the vip offer when you ring.
Bought one on Friday.

Any more details re the VIP offer?
Also, it weighs 7kg, so I take it it's not designed to be used as a portable devise?
I got the email Thursday, if you mention your vip email when you ring up you get it for £199 free postage.
Rang 0333 900 0093 bought it on my debit card and got an email to say it's being delivered tomorrow-boom! http:[email protected]@m9ZTq_CNC3cXQ-pX5qEwjDnGUIZaLAObgIWWXSTehuA.@

Not doubting you at all but I'm signed up to their VIP mails & I don't think I got it, I wonder if they'll sell me 1 of those at that price, I quite fancy one!

I'm sure they will. I just rang the sales line said I wanted to buy a Mission Aero and I'd seen it for £199 in my VIP email. They didn't ask for my email address until after the purchase which I presume was to update the delivery etc. There's no specific reference on the email.
They didn't question me at all. The sale was done in about 1 minute.

Likewise. Received email Thursday and ordered Friday. On it's way to me in the next couple of hours. No mention of proof needed that I'm a VIP, but they again did ask for an email address.

I was looking for the frequency range but can't find it. Looks like it's just 50w.
How do the speakers output 154w, if the consumption is 50w?

I bought one of the Aero's and am taking it back. Positives - really powerful, great bass and mid-range. Negatives - No matter how much I try to tweak it using equalizer, the top range is so tinny and harsh I have given up. Have tried running the speakers in and using high quality FLAC files to no avail. Real shame as I had high hopes.

Hmmm. I've sampled a few of these standalone speaker systems, and the Aero is certainly one of the better sounding systems - especially at the £200 price, not much can compete. Different music types can obviously affect the sound, but it seems to suit my musical tastes anyway. I wouldn't call it tinny or harsh sounding though.
