I picked mine up earlier today, can confirm its the new model. Further digging showed they'd been bringing them into the GTA bundle over the last few months, it's most likely you'll get the new model chassis. Great deal!

Don't mind the colour. From the picture it is a Matt colour I guess it is C model.
My kids prefer Fallout 4 or Battlefront. That's why I feel headache lol

Went to my local Tesco and saw a PS4 500GB battlefront bundle + until dawn and Fifa16 for 289.
I am not sure if I should go for Argos or Tesco :man:

I have the 2nd edition though noisy sometimes when playing GTA v, its not in the same room as I play so don't care and don't give a crap about buttons though its the right move going mechanical. Most use controller anyway

It says on side of the box CUH - 1216A. It has the physical buttons on the front, it's super quiet too. Currently playing a game and can't even hear the console.

Well theres different videos, which say slightly different things.
Overall heat is less on C Chassis for sure but its also centered mainly on one spot.
Fan noise is definately an issue, I wouldnt like that at all.

However one poster has claimed this maybe the new model (CUH - 1216A)

Having owned both. I would recommend the C Chassis model. Less heat for defo and less noise. The C Chassis I got is literally silent when I play games like Destiny, Guilty Gear XRD etc. However BO3 that game is not made properly it causes the fan noise to rise on the PS4 slightly.

I played Killzone, The Order 1886 on both the launch and C chassis model. C Chassis does a better job at noise and heat. Launch model entire top and rear side of PS4 literally hot (placed flat and in same place).

Just picked up mine from Argos, looks to be the newer model as it has the new buttons on the front. Looks slick in glacier white I have to say!

The less heat isnt true. A chassiss heat is more spread out while C Chassiss is more centralized, so potentially more damaging

Big difference. I had first launch model and now I have the C chassis. Less heat and by far less noise with the new C chassis model. Entire console is matte finish instead of that half matte half gloss. Actual physical buttons now :smile:

Having looked at the bundles again, that is a choice of Star Wars of Nathan Drake collection... However, as of right now $300 is just under £200... so we may see a drop in price.

Then again, we may not get it here at all.

But if the Argos deal will still be on on Monday, it may be worth waiting to see what happens. Would be gutting to lay down £300 today to find a £200 deal on Monday.

These might be a nice thing to part spend voucher on (should work with ps4 ?), back down to £99.99...(went up again last week..cheapest they have been on Argos / Amazon I think)
