Just spotted the Sony PS4 20th Anniversary Dualshock Controller on the Argos website for £39.99.
It's not quite as cheap as the recent Gamestop deal, so I thought I would chuck it Flubit's way and see what they could do.
The initial instant offer of 4% brought it down to £38.79 delivered with the final offer given to me at £35.88 delivered. Bit of a bargain, no?
I appreciate that the Flubit offer may vary dependant, but even at £39.99 it's £5 cheaper than elsewhere, and we can of course, expect an Amazon price match.

Not as 'collectible' as the marketing campaign seems to imply.
Just look at the prices that original ("SCPH-1001") PlayStation consoles sell for on eBay...
They are not in demand... probably because during the life of the production of the console (including the "PSone"; "SCPH-100") over 120 million units were shipped worldwide.
In time, these are the kind of things that sell on ebay for £100 if still in their packing. Good for what it is.

I wonder how much my real 20th anniversary one will be worth then.

I doubt it, the numbers they have been produced in means you will probably get back what you paid for it in real terms so it's only worth it if your going to use it. The 20th anniversary PS4 on the other hand... they will be worth thousands.

Just to add, at the time of demanding from Flubit, I created two separate enquiries and the second has just come back slightly lower...
Yep. Picked up one that was never used for practically nothing not long ago.
These controllers don't seem to be in any danger of selling out anytime soon either. Unlike the anniversary console.

I would as it's always worth more in the original unopened package....would love to be a fly on the wall if someone rocked up with one of these in the 25th century having found it stashed away in the loft among all their great-great-great-great-great grandparents tat and all the experts were puzzling over what it was and what it could be used for :stuck_out_tongue:

13 Dec 15#22
It's a website that lets you "demand" a better price on an item you've found....
Thanks for that but does the item still come from Amazon or them?
tsimehC to jim_bob64
13 Dec 151#33
No it comes from Flubit's own merchant, Fireworks Ltd or another merchant (usually one of the sellers listed on Amazon but will not be under Amazon T&Cs).
I'm surprised it's not banned yet considering they ban shops that don't pay them commission. :smirk:

If you happen to have any of them mint and unused in boxes then that changes things a bit, but I agree that standard playstation hardware is unlikely to be that highly in demand for quite a while.

The 20th Anniversary reskinned PS4 console is considered rare, this is not. This was made in mass quantity hence why it's being sold everywhere.
Anyway, it's a nice looking PS4 controller with that PS1-look and in time I might get one but I'm okay as long as the console's normal controller works fine and is comfortable.

Nearly 36 years old, been gaming since I was 10, been ebaying for 10 years, I have seen more bizzare. All about timing and technique my friend  If a second habd 360 pad can sell for £40 in game, I think a brand new one of these in a year or two depending on circumstances can sell hihg, maybe not £100, but £80 easy.
