For base you need to go for the sony xb950bt the MDR versions are really good for highs and mids.

I am not a fan of on-ear headphones.

Well noise cancelling dose not necessary mean active noise cancelling. If you are looking for active cancelling like beats studio do, these are not. However if you compare these to on ear headphones or in ear ones, they have indeed enough noise cancelling function. At this price these headphones are brilliant.

These are NOT noise cancelling. What you are talking about noise isolating, which any over ear cupped headphones will do to a certain degree.
Really? There are 4 comments above yours that mention whether they are or not...

Fantastic price. I got these with Flubit through Amazon a few weeks ago for more money and very happy with them.
They aren't noise cancelling but they sound good.

Keep looking then, these aren't noise cancelling nor isolating. Extremely comfortable, decent sound but almost zero bass. One of the very few bluetooth headsets that do not show battery level on iPhone which is annoying. Otherwise, bt connection is brilliant compared to most. You get what you pay for really, very decent for sub-£100.

Hi they are indeed not noise cancelling... argos confusingly listed them under noise cancelling section .... just as argos would lol. I hope they are good at isolating noise at least

Paid £99.99 for mine from Argos. Thought that was cheap. Must buy if you want Bluetooth headphones. Awesome
