I asked for my PAC code in the morning. Later in the afternoon I got a call back and they offered me this CRAZY deal.
Unlimited minutes
Unlimited texts
18gb of data (monthly)
for..... £15.99 a month for 12 months.
This deal is for people who are at the end of their current contract with EE.
I asked the rep a few times if 18gb of data monthly is what he was offering and he confirmed it. He said he was giving me a £13 discount monthly and an extra 8gb of data on top of the 10gb. So the original plan is £28.99 but is discounting it.
I know I need proof and I will upload the screenshot of the text confirmation later on.

Good deal, but I left EE and joined BT for £16 per month and £60 cash back from top cash back, so I now get unlimited mins, unlimited txt and 20gb of data, plus I will get £20 amazon gift card.
But that is a good deal you've got.

been trying to get a decent deal from retentions since October with no luck. last year I got 23gb which worked out at £19 per month for 12months. now it's gone up to £25 per month. This sounds good but I'm away on holiday, won't be back till after new years, hopefully they'll offer me something similar

18gb per month  - Don't use that in a year. Since 1 Sept 2015, I've used 1.2gb. That's with an iPhone 6 and only thing I don't do when not on wifi is stream movies, music or watch YouTube. Oh, or backup pics and update apps.
I'm on EE 4gb, unlimited, unlimited for £12.50 per month.

Yes and Yes.
I got this deal last week myself. I changed 3 contracts, one was this one, at this price. (and unlike BT, tethering is fine with EE) one was for the wife, 12.99 for 4gb and unlimited/UL, and a third was a business phone with 500/unlimited/500 for 4.99 a month.

Did you phone through to get this? I have been trying to get them to reduce my bill for ages and had no luck. Currently on 10gb paying £18 per month. What are the odds I can ring through to retentions and get this? Anything special I need to say?

I was out of contract for 3 months, phoned up a couple of days ago and they only offered me 4gb for 16 or 17 pounds. I've been ripped off by them again. :disappointed:

I called up and tried, no chance and they couldn't offer anything nowhere near this. Apparently the best they could do was a 50% off for the first 6 months of a 12 month sim only contract deal, which was still really expensive.

Couldn't get this either. Ended up with the 10GB package for £21.99. Told them about the BT 20GB package and they weren't bothered either.

To be fair, 20 quid is still a very good deal for this! BT offer of 20gb for 20 quid was what got me started on changing, but the EE offer includes tethering, and I also get free Euro roaming included too. I'd be happy to pay 20 quid for it, but they offered it me for 16, so all the better

This is a load of tosh.
I rang EE retentions and they advised no such deal exists. Spoke to a manager in Retentions who said he could discount anything and everything but they never offer anything over 10gb of data and that this offer was misleading.

I had this offered to me 2 weeks ago when my contract ended and I asked for a PAC (despite saying I was going to be staying with EE, just going via mobilephonesdirect). Lovely Geordie guy rang me back within 3 hours and offered me this.
Probably would have gone with BT in the end had this not been available to me, what with them owning EE and offering 20GB data, new customer cash back etc.
bilbob
17 Dec 15#38
Ok, to be clear:
This deal isn't offered by 'retentions' in the traditional sense.
You have to actually request your PAC, effectively, leave.
Then a different team will contact you to discuss.
I'd be surprised if anyone can actually 'ring up' and get this.... But no harm in getting your PAC if you are due... it doesn't disconnect you unless you use it....

It's specific to some customers I guess. I was on 2GB data and barely used 500MB (as I had wifi in previous job). My contract was 13.99 so hardly a big spender with EE at all. It seems pot luck with retentions and you generally have to take what they offer, but it's definitely available (or was).

They offered me that as well but I went for the higher data allowance.

To be fair it is hit and miss. My contract with them ended a few months ago and I asked for a better deal but they didn't budge and so I left it a couple of months and I was on a month to month thing. I decided to move on and then they offered me this.

I left EE last month because retentions refused to offer me anything other than the standard rates (despite me having multiple other contracts). Switched to ASDA on PAYG who do allow tethering.
