Just had mine delivered and seem great, so very pleased. Only took just over a week to arrive and much better than expected. Have never bought glasses online before but will be doing so again. Thanks for posting.

Great price for a back up pair of glasses, especially if you know the general measurements and shape of glasses that look good on you. Fingers crossed I made the right choice on the frames!

Looks a good deal but how do you get your prescription. Do you just ask for a copy of it? Can they refuse?

The only time they may refuses if it out of date.
Yes an eyesight prescription may sound harmless, however many other things can be picked up from your eyes. So certainly worth getting a new sight test if required.

Neither did I, sadly :disappointed:
Even though they advertise that, they don't actually say so at the end. I contacted Select Specs about the same thing, and they said they can no longer put an effective UV coating on cheap lenses – which is strange given they also claimed in the same conversation that all the £6 glasses I had bought from them in previous years DID have an effective UV coating. When they claim that their cheap glasses do include these coatings, they are legally obliged to fulfil that at the price advertised according to SOGA, it's technically illegal for them to do otherwise. Sadly, when I wrote to Select Specs explaining this, they just avoided the issue.

Tried the site, but not available for Rimless frames. Pity. Anyone had luck with the rimless ones, which are priced 15.95 and upwards ?

it's not stated very clearly but in the FAQ, question 17 is
17) Are your lenses scratch resistant?
All our lenses come with Anti-scratch and UV protection coatings.

Yes, my nose bits (what's the name for them?) fell off after a couple of weeks...have other pairs that are fine though...great for leaving around...I have to say I went with OH to a high street opticians to collect some glasses and they charged extra for everything and we were having a bit of a whinge...upon looking at my £5.99 goggles ones in my hand they remarked...well yours have anti-reflective coating so you probably paid extra for that. £5.99 I replied...oh! that's cheap for the coating was the response...no the entire glasses...never seen anyone look so gobsmacked

Much better than speckyfoureyes...one of the frame arms was bent out so much and they took twice as long to arrive (2 weeks)

Still a decent deal though.

Used these guys a few years back, quality was just OK on rimless the lenses were not cut the same, very close but a bit out.,
great for the prices, handy for spare pairs or extra pairs with tints to match outfits.
I still wear the ones I got when I can get away with single vision.
I did try vari which were ok for work where it was just computer/desk, fr every day you need to go to good quality vari lenses which I have not found cheap anywhere.

good deal I got a free tint on mine as well. used them before but I'd gotten my own prescription wrong so not really sure if they're good or not, the frames seemed a bit cheap but they did cost under a tenner so that might be why.
