Sold by Amazon France. I think it's the cheapest at the moment.
Got heat of 701 when novatech was selling just under £160 so this should be an amazing deal.

I don't know how noticeable it would be in actual use but those M.2 speeds might be most beneficial for games. I mean Windows can only react so fast, it's waiting for user input most of the time but if games can load and stream data 4 times faster than from a SATA SSD, I'd expect to feel the benefit.

SLOWWW DRIVES FOR AN SSD

These speeds are about ball park for the 6GB SATA bus. Modern SSD's saturate this - which is why they are all round the 500MB per second mark for reads & writes - including Samsung drives. For > 6G SATA speeds you need to use a PCIE drive in an M.2 format, if your motherboard supports it - mine has 2.2GB per second reads and ~1.2GBPS writes.
I think I will go for this drive as a gaming/media drive.

If you have a Santander Select account I think there are no conversion fee's.....Sure that's one of the things they waffled on at me about!

New to site but have browsed a few times. This deal is hot and tempted me to purchase for my laptop. Bought the disk caddy as well in order to clone disk. Thanks.

I would still go for the Samsung 850. TLC nand :disappointed:

Samsung 850 EVO is TLC nand. If you want MLC for some reason then you'd have to get the 850 pro which is more money for half the capacity. Having used both high end MLC drives and budget drives like this I honestly can't tell the difference and don't see the point for even an enthusiast consumer.

Any way to put this in an imac and replace the existing hard drive?

It's a standard SATA connection, just swap them. You;ll need some rails as SSDs are smaller than normal HDDs
Im holding out for £100 but this is an awesome price still.

Been waiting for a while for a SSD of about 1TB to hit the £150 mark. This is perfect! Was £150 for me too but loads better then the £190 from Amazon UK! Hot!

If you let Amazon do the currency conversion for you, then you won't get the best price. Usually better to pay in EUR and let your bank do the currency exchange

Better if you change the title to SSD, as I had a search page open for SSDs and this didn't come up, so people might miss it.

Halifax Clarity Credit Card has always given me better than the Amazon converted rate. Just click 'Pay in Euros' and use your Halifax Clarity Credit Card to pay.
Terrific deal if you need 960GB.

Those of you with Satander Zero cards also get good euro / dollar rates, don't think they offer this card for new sign ups anymore though.

You can sign up for a Revolut account and pay in Euros or other currencies.
You can also use a Revolut debit card to withdraw cash from overseas ATMs with no charges.
Well worth a look!

It comes up to GBP 150.35 with Amazon's currency conversion. Looks like there is the cheaper price for people with access to Aqua and a higher one for those without :-(
