Cheap at the price for a 128 3.0 drive, but i paid a much higher price when 2 of these drives (64GB) failed and i lost data twice.
Be warned

Where did you buy them from? How was the data lost?

Always back up your data - I have absolutely zero sympathy for people that lose data.

These small metal drives get too hot, I'd avoid.

Never had an issue with these. Great for keeping a spare copy of unimportant data

I've got one of these (64gb) and they do get extremely hot given there is little surface to dissipate heat.
They are great little compact sticks for non prolonged use IMO. Wouldn't leave it in a USB port on a permanent basis myself due to the heat.

They can operate at high heats, whats the issue?

Crikey what a price. I paid this for my 64GB a few months back. Hot

Maybe that's why he bought 2.

What's the write speed like on these?

Suprisingly good for such a tiny drive 20-25MB/s depending on the format exFAT seems faster than NTFS.

Not brilliant for a USB 3.0 drive though, or was that in a USB 2.0 port?

Bought a 64GB version of this recently, and it gave me 15MB/s even over USB2 - copying a selection of small jpgs. (Which, of course, is still way slower than the maximum USB2 transfer speed! But 3-4x faster than a differently branded small stick I own.)
Hot, although this seems to be a fairly typical offer price from various retailers.

The interface rarely seems to be a limiting factor for flash drives, despite the marketing. Most of them can't even saturate USB2 properly - I'd consider this really fast for a small drive, and only a really good drive would beat this by very much.

It's usb 3.0 and no that not poor when you consider the Sandisk cruzer fit drive writes less than 5MB/s. I've got quite a few usb 3.0 drives and only a handfull of the cheap ones write over 15MB/s.

Good price but the older version (cruzer fit) had a much better design and "fit".this one is USB3 but an step backwards in terms of shape and size.

Oh? Do you design computers?

Engineer is probably the wrong word. Im a technician ? I work with a team of people in large companies and i manage 350+ computers and there network doing I.T, service and repair and keeping them up and running.

Technician != Engineer.
350 isn't a lot of computers at all.

The first was from mymemory . It just stopped working ? Was not recognised by any computer, dead ! I returned it manufacturers after drilling a large hole through it to destroy the data on it.
They supplied an exchange and all was well for a couple of months and they the second one died ! So i gave up.
