The sammy one doesn't run hot like this one which suggest lower power consumption and better efficiency (important for lappy/tablet use) and also more likely to last longer.

if it can help, got 1x64gb purchased 2 months ago from argos and a 32gb purchased online earlier 4 months ago.
great performers as I can see from speeds. Well, the 64gb is always been plugged on the pc and been in use a very little, 2 days ago I found it dead. About the 32gb which is been plugged on my wife laptop mostly never in use, still working but as soon I nicely extracted it the plastic came completely off but I was able to put it back and still working, obviously I cannot trust it as it is now been weakened. They get hot which I always thought should not be a problem but I leave to you any judgement about this particular stick.

I have a 128 & a 64 on my Macbook Pro permanently on. Prior to the 128 I had a second 64. I've had no problems at all, so it's sad some have had problems.

I've had one of the 64GB ones of these since April, which I leave in a Macbook the whole time. It's warm, but other than that, it's been fine. Very tempted to buy one of the 128GB ones now - it's only a couple of pounds more than I paid for the 64GB one!

I should find the receipt and try to get a refund from argos. in reality I been more disappointed by the fact that the plastic came easily off on extracting the 32gb. The fact that the other one went faulty, cannot trust anymore. Not even sure what was saved on that but just imagine if I had the entire life work on it waiting to be transferred on something more reliable. I still got a brand new 64gb which I lost at home, better to find it and test before gets out of warranty

I've never understood the appeal of these tiny USB sticks - a colleague bought one and said it was very hot to the touch after he'd used it. Apart from the heating issues, surely you're highly likely to lose this if you transport it around compared to a "normal" USB stick because of its tiny size? I'll stick (ha!) with my trusty Grixx for the same price.

The point is to be able to leave it in the device even when packed away in a slipcase or whatever. And in use it doesn't stick out and be knocked about or just out when you move it.

The problem with this device (in my 32 & 64Gb incarnations) is it runs so hot that I fear for both battery consumption, reliability of the device and possible damage to the socket. YMMV.

99% of the time it's fine but there's been occasions where windows no longer reads the drive, this has been times where it's been running hot (eg. recently transferred data) That said I've not seen it disconnect in my USB2 port.

Got the 32 gb one and its unreadable full stop nothing will format it tried gpart ubuntu windows and many other tools its like its there but un-writeable anybody had experience with this before I send it back.
