Looks like a decent TV for the price.

Try Richer Sounds for a 6 year guarantee included in the price and a super more personal service.
Don't forget to read ALL of what I think are Samsungs DISGUSTING terms and conditions that you have to accept before you can use their TVs because BIG BROTHER is both keeping records so they can possibly target you with personalised advertising that I don't think you can stop and in some cases able to listen to everything what is said in the room by anyone and they could possibly be recording for future use.. You cant get past the start screen until terms are accepted. I cant remember it exactly but that is the jist of it So BEWARE. I must also say that when I pointed this out to Richer Sounds I don't think that even they were aware of Samsungs terms and conditions and they said that I could return for a refund if not happy even after using the TV for a good while before I read them in depth .

I think this is the same regardless of what brand you choose. A friend had a Panasonic with a webcam and microphone and I guarantee you that Panasonic will not promise to protect your audio/visual data. My laptop webcam has a sticker over it for this reason. It's not because I'm paranoid about the NSA or the government. It's because I don't trust technology companies churning out TVs to bother too much with security. I would be genuinely amazed if lots of TVs aren't easy to hack once they are on a network. Those little security cameras you can buy to monitor your home while you are away are full of security holes and back doors. Mainly due to lazy developers and consumers who don't care.
Targeted advertising I don't care about. Adverts are adverts. Some Russian cyber criminal recording me watching TV in my spider man pyjamas is of more concern.

as Jiggy said, I was watching it as well before Black Friday as that was one of my choices of TV to buy, but on Sunday after BF went OOS and it was like this until Saturday, 12th of Dec.
The price was £409 all the time at JL, RicherSounds had it at £419 at one point, but it went OOS as well and now they're back to £449 (have some left in some of the shops, you would have to ring them to find out).
I'll have mine delivered on Friday, when I was buying it on 12th, they had more than 10 in stock
Long story short, doesn't look like a deal to me, as price was like this for a long time at JL (and let's not forget about 5yrs warranty incl)

Was looking at this from JL 2 weeks ago and it went OOS. It briefly came back in stock online over the weekend at £409. Sales assistant advised they should restock so keep checking website.
They might well have but I decided to reserve one at Argos. The nearest one with stock is about 15 miles away but I should get £25 back under the Nationwide Visa Rewards scheme.
