Poor/weird spec, this is close to the £100 it should be.

Galaxy Tab E, A, S, S2, A2, S Plus...
No wonder Samsung are failing when then keep punting out so much junk that nobody can keep up! I'm a Samsung man myself and I feel they'd really help themselves if they just released 3 models of everything - high range, mid range and bargain range. And for God's sake, give them corresponding names!

i bought this when it was a similar price around black friday-i got it for my little'un to keep her off my phone (she enjoys the games i can download) and while i personally would want something a bit higher spec & with a better screen response time, i feel it was a bargain and perfect for what it's used for

Couldn't agree more (iPhone user here) and from the outside I haven't a clue what Samsung are doing. They do the exact same thing with TV's too.

Had a play on one of these earlier this week, along with a few others while in PC world and although it isn't up there with the latest tablets in terms of performance or screen resolution, it is more than adequate for most people. The screen looked good, the design looked good, the weight for a large screened tablet was good. It also felt well made and comfortable to hold for what is essentially a budget tablet.
Currently using a Samsung S2 9.7 which is an awesome machine but when you factor in that it cost £200 more than this, this seems good value.
Voting hot.

The problem with Samsung devices is that they will never update the firmware. If you have say Jellybean 4.4.4 it's likely to stay on Jellybean 4.4.4.

Well that's just not true.
Yes relatively speaking Samsung are quite slow at their updates by the time they put TouchWiz round it and what not but I've had a few Samsung devices (writing this on S6) and they've all received updates.

Had many Samsung devices?
I've had a lot and while they may not be rapid in getting updates out there, they have always got updated.
So your statement is untrue.

Argos seem to have some deals where the product doesn't appear in the catalogue. Is this a job lot from the supplier?

But, John Lewis still has it priced at £119.99, but they are OOS :disappointed:
