just received my note 4 ant it had android 5.1.1 installed. the descriptionsays 4.4.4. will mine be a device that someone has sent back???? also does anyone know of any issues i might encounter regarding the 5.1.1 software?

Yes paid extra for del also but only got email showing order but no dispatch email. Also seems they have taken payment but there is no order showing in Amazon Italy.

arrived safe and sound. All sealed up and brand new - comes with a Euro charger but that's not a biggie to replace.

Just a bit of info for those concerned about amazon italy. Tracking information shows that the note 4 I ordered was dispatched from Germany... so will have nothing to do with italian warehouses and/or post services.

Damn I'm so torn between this and the LG G4, I'm concerned that for Note 4 Marshmallow will be the last big update since it's getting "oldish" and I don't trust Samsung when it's about updates.

While the white version is not my bag, there is no denying that this is an awesome price if you want the white version.

I picked up black version for £366 on Amazon UK and it's a great handset.

Chose the Note 4 over the S6 or S6E due to the fact it has removable battery and SD card unlike the newer Galaxy S models.

Must admit was bit nervous about ordering from Amazon again. But had lightning deal come up for a 850 SDD with £30 off which I wanted - so ordered. Got email from Amazon UK to delivered by Hermes[ NO! :confused: ]

Waited patiently for Hermes to ring doorbell but never rang. At lunchtime found package had just been posted through the letterbox they never bothered to ring doorbell and get the delivery signed. But luckily Package intact and all ok.

Relived when next Next lightning offered collection at the Post Office.

i actually did take a video as i have heard stories. but they said it was not necessary as they can investigate which took them about 5 days.

Like I said earlier, best way is to video yourself unpacking the parcel/box. They can't argue then, and refund should be immediate. But again, most people will get the phone without issues. You were unfortunate.

exactly haha. although their investigation mainly looked at weight of the parcel during various stage of transit. so it will be easy to tell whether you are lying or not unless u get something of the same weight!

get it if the phone is in there like digi1010 mine was not and had to use google translate and still waiting for the refund to come through. i did ask for a replacement and was told it was out of stock n no longer stocking( which is now obviously not true)

now pondering should i take another risk on this knowing the issues

Ordered one when last deal posted, not enjoying mine but I bet someone else surely is! Got delivered to my neighbour. Phone had been removed from box.

Amazon Italy refused to speak to me in English had to email them took couple of weeks to get refunded.

Another suggestion/safety precaution is to actually take a video of yourself unpacking the parcel as proof in case. Heard them talking about it the other day on LBC and the scams taking place with deliveries here in the UK, let alone abroad.

Agreed, just thought to warn people to be a bit more careful when the package is delivered. But with the excellent amazon CS and great price (compared to other options), I ordered without second thoughts.

True. But I managed to get one of these for the wife fine as did most. Best way to ensure you get it is to take our the guaranteed delivery option, which anyway works out at €2 more than normal delivery

Ordered. People have experienced problems when ordering from amazon italy (something else - cheaper - arriving instead of the Note 4), so I suggest you take the necessary precautions.

Amazon UK currently not selling neither the white, nor black version. And even if they were, they told me they wouldn't be able to price match it

Just finished a chat session with Amazon Italy using the wonderful intellect of "Google translate" . I'm sure the person on the other side had a good laugh! Was trying to get them to price match the black version, but they wouldn't budge. Ended up buying the white as the price was just too good to pass up
