Matching the Tesco deal, and nearly matching Lidl's £4.99/kg.

No. But by your insightful input I'd suggest you are. Or inbred. Look up what inbred means. You'll find it very revealing, and very true in your case

I asked the question based solely on your rantings only.

Principles cost money, and as a principle I believe halal meat should not be available in this country. Do Muslim majority countries offer non-halal meat? No, and nor should the UK

They must have bought all the downhill legs. I wonder where all the uphill ones went.

I can only go on the ones I saw today in store. They were quite long and all between £11 and £13.50p. So they were big ones

Why is NZ lamb halal??
someguy003 to Krinkle
10 Dec 15#20
95% of their market is Indonesia, Malaysia, and Gulf states. They have a monopoly on Muslim countries and supply virtually all with halal lamb and mutton. When the price is cheap-like now- UK super markets also buy it because it is cheaper than British and Welsh lamb, but the meat is also halal. NZ only do halal for export

no short- only long legs

New Zealand export is all halal. Only British and Welsh lamb is not halal.

I had a Sainsbury's leg of NZ recently and then an Organic M&S British Leg. OK cost was not comparable in any shape or form but the flavour and texture was night and day. With any meat I guess you get what you paid for.

Not a bad price. If you do buy, try getting the British Lamb, tastes and cooks much better.

You can't really guarantee it tastes better. That's stupid.

I had the Tesco New Zealand one at the weekend and used a meat thermometer for the first time to ensure no overcooking and the meat was terrific.
