"Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is the upcoming installment of the acclaimed first-person shooter franchise developed by the renowned Ubisoft Montreal studio for the next generation of consoles and PC."
I've been playing the beta and it has good gameplay. They seem to have ironed out most of the bugs already. Set for release this Tuesday

If you have it through Steam, you download and manage the content through Steam and you only have to authenticate through Uplay. If you buy it through Uplay, you have to download and manage the content through Uplay which is frankly rubbish compared to Steam and a real pain in the neck. I bought a couple of games on Uplay and gave up trying to download them, even though Uplay was maxing out my connection the game was downloading at a trickle plus once it's downloaded you can't move it to another PC, you have to download it all over again. It was an expensive lesson never to buy anything through Uplay, their forums are filled with people having identical issues for months and months but almost completely ignored by Ubisoft aside from useless generic solutions.

This is all reminding me of the raven shield days.
If the servers aren't dedicated, it's probably that causing the issues.

Keys are available now to Pre-Load the game.

It's typical Ubisoft though, if servers are down, or you have internet trouble, no game, think of it as online only as there are no bots.

Expired unfortunately, the new code 'CDKEYSCYBER10' only applies to a select few items :disappointed:

Still loads of server issues across all platforms. Really good gameplay when playing with a good team with mics. Let's hope they can properly fix the issues, not just bodge job it like they've currently been doing.

That's what we were saying about raven shield back in the day. Ubi suck.

That's why it's in Beta. They are/were stress testing servers and fixing server bugs. The actual game, even in it's beta build it pretty well polished.
I don't think a lot of people realise that this beta is a build of the game from about 2-3 months ago from just after the alpha testing and closed beta. The gameplay should be better upon release also as they have said they have changed it quite a bit for launch.

Great fun but the servers on the beta are so buggy, hopefully they sort that prior to release

no story no dedicated servers, uplay i see lots off reasons to not buy this. ubicrap. very dissapointed. no prince of persia, no splinter cell, assassins creed feels like a copy paste crap, so much potencial wasted.

You have to play through UPlay regardless if steam or not ! I bought it last month at the same price, no way on this earth was I paying steam prices. Its a good game, playing the Beta at the moment. Has loads of issues but patches can fix them.

I understand that but I'm a bit of a collector I like all of my games via steam client. It makes accessibility to everything much better for me.

Ordered this last night after playing the beta again and you're right about the bugs I also like the little gpu box saying how much ram it's using for people without 2+ monitors or lcd keyboards
