Nearly £50 and it only records 720? Loads of dashcams around that price that record in 1080p

Just what i need.... My friends just love watching my drives down a wet gloomy motorway driving past miles upon miles of overgrown shrubbery and the occasional coal fired power station/pylons with the windscreen wipers on and the windows steamed up. They are constantly nagging on at me about getting more low quality roundabout footage, particularly ones with traffic lights on the actual roundabout.
Just think, if they get this too, we can swap memory cards just like we used to swap pannini stickers at school.

Apparently it also affects a persons ability to construct a sentence.
Buy one of these and upload videos of my atrocious and dangerous cycling to youtube.

Heat added - surely its a matter of time before they are standard in all vehicles?? Do these appear as optional extras on some new cars ?
Always use mine ever since a cyclist got tossed over my rear when i had to break suddenly

This device gets slammed in the reviews. Poor video quality apparently. Night time footage looks particularly horrendous. I'm no expert on dashcams but there's bound to be better ones out there.
Very easy to setup and small enough to be discrete, you don't want Carl the Crackhead seeing it in you parked car.

Do insurance companies actually pay any attention or attach any value / validity to the footage recorded by these things, or is the whole 'save £££ on your insurance premiums in the event of a claim' just wishful thinking / marketing BS?

Good on you sir, people caught texting whilst driving should have their vehicles, phones, and fingers crushed! Especially the schoolrun dummies and the infantile van/lorry drivers :laughing:

But if the resolution or picture quality is so bad that you can't even make out the number plate of a car that's done a 'hit and run' on you, the device isn't much of a bargain - more like a waste of money!

Got two Dome G90S cameras, been using them everyday with a 64gb micro sd, quality is superb and very reliable so far (7 months). Only £60 from china delivered with GPS module or same price from UK without GPS. Will be way better than this.

Yes it covers the rear. I have a separate one covering my front as well. Since being hit from behind and the guy speeding off its essential both ends are covered imo

You must have Mobius A cams. The wide angle lens variants, Mobius B, C & C2 are much better than A in low light ...
But you know they're coming after dark - they are only allowed to drive vehicles with one or more lights out.

My vehicle (Evoque) has five cameras built in (four of them are pretty pointless really). Now, if Land Rover just built-in a simple recording facility that would be the perfect answer for almost no cost!

Really? The footage at night is pretty nice even behind the factory fit tints on the rear windscreen. The other dash cam I have is no use what so ever all you can see is headlights in the blackness.

Yeah, would take a serious inconvenience like that to stop morons. Think the only real solution would be getting a Google car so they can sit back and text away, saying that it wouldn't go fast enough for them or park close enough to the Greggs/school!
I've had one of these (with the additional rear camera on a wire) and it's pretty good. Wouldn't pay an extra ~£40 for an RAC sticker though.

What's everyone's obsession with filming people. These bloody cyclists are the worst with the head cams uploading video after video to YouTube of '**** driver runs Amber light' **** driver does 40 in a 30'. There has to be more to life out there for you! Sad... Real sad.
