Yeah, that's generally how we do it mate. The US account is just the access to download. We all play these games on our UK accounts.
Remember everyone. If you buy the us version of the game and want to get any dlc you have to buy the dlc from the us store as well.

I wish there had been a single player campaign for this one.
The levels in the multi player are gorgeous but I don't get to see much of them due to getting wasted in no time at all haha.
Great game, shame I don't get to see much of it.

Any possibility it's your connection? Like I say I've encountered no issues with this since purchase, at any play time.
Might be worth looking into.

Nothing to do with the version. Fifa 16 which is the physical disc has been the same. I generally only game once the kids are in bed (10pm onwards) so maybe its the time of day, but haven't managed any online play without horrible lag for the last week.

what else do I need to be "US" to play this in Multiplayer?
For example:
Season Pass?
PS Plus?
Anything else?
What happens to your existing UK profile and trophies - do they get merged into one view? Or is it separate now?

Theres a US website where you can get it for £21.00 but its not allowed to be posted as deal, since its not been approved by HUKD.
I'm still split on buying this, its a new AAA release, the graphics look amazing, currently has over 70,000 people playing at any given time on PS4, and for £21, why not!?, but then you see so many complaints about the game, from HUKD, to Youtube videos, to Amazon reviews, to actual gaming reviews, then you think hmm no forget it, I'll wait till its £10

Why wouldn't it. You play the game with the same PSN i.d. you only need the US account to purchase and download. Once it's installed it's playable with any account on the console be it US or UK

Agreed.
For a Star Wars game not to have a single player campaign/experience is complete BS. They had virtually the world at their feet with this licence (dice/EA) and they chose not to make a single player experience with one of the world's greatest galaxies in story telling ever....
Some of us have jobs and families so dip in and out?? So that makes it ok to not have a single player, afew maps and a dozen or so weapons .... right :laughing:
Some of us expect our money's worth when buying a game and it seems most agree, hence the price drops on this, second hand shelves being full of it and most reviews with the lack of content.

I'm glad they didn't include a single player campaign, I never bother with them .The extra time spent on the multiplayer really shows. I haven't the time for games like the Witcher , Bloodborne ,Fallout 4 etc which makes me sad to miss out on them but online games that I can quickly dip into like this are great for people who have to work long hours.

That doesn't mean that nobody does though. People should at least be given the choice with a £50 game.

20 Dec 15#29
Well even if they had included a single player campaign you could have just ignored it. Not having a single player campaign hasn't improved the multiplayer in Battlefront as it's mediocre at best which is why so many people have lost interest in playing it so quickly. There's other games like Cod and the Halo series especially which manage to produce pretty decent single player campaigns and also good multiplayers which people don't forget after a month or so.

Server connection for multiplayer is based on locality and data centre ping, not game region..

I do worry about online only games. There appears to be a short-ish window where the online community is plentiful and getting into games is no problem at all. By the time there has been a good price drop you tend to find games are sporadic, teams are below capacity and sometimes waiting for a game is a long drawn out affair. I know that was true of Titanfall- and by the sounds of it, Evolve!

I think it was a big mistake of them not to include a single player but apparently it was going to be too costly to develop. Also because of the Star Wars name and the new film coming out they thought they'd be able to get away with charging full price for an average multiplayer. I am not sure how successful it has been with sales but it seemed to get dropped from a lot of people's playlists after a few weeks.
