Shopto are digging their heels in regarding refunding the difference.

They used to be so great but such a small thing like this has ruined their reputation in my eyes.

Second time I have received a standard edition when I ordered a special edition from Rakuten. Also I agree Shopto are rubbish these days.

i too also received the std copy. shopto is not the company it used to be, issues with customer service or that lack off.
I try to avoid them. but this is good deal nether the less.

Standard Edition as well. Crooks. Not the first time they've pulled this kind of thing. ShopTo used to be great. Now it's awful, and I always find their correspondence rude and unhelpful. Where can we leave negative feedback?

If anyone does not want the standard edition I would kindly purchase it from you at the price you paid plus the postage cost.

Got mine today but it wasn't the steelbook version, sent them an email they said it was put up by mistake and if I wanted to return I could for a refund. Will keep it though, used some points so only cost me £11

Ordered 3 copies one for myself and 2 as gifts recieved one steelbook edition today and 2 standard copies,
Sent an email got a reply saying they ran out of the day one steelbook edition and i could send the other 2 copies back for refunds

Had this broken English reply to my query about the standard edition being sent:

"Apologise for any inconveniences, I'm afraid there has been a listing error on the website, this is just a standard edition. If you need to return the item for a refund we will accept this."

Now, fess up to a cock up, that's fine, but don't bare faced lie!! Both editions were reduced, won't get refund of difference or steelbook, so as said before, bad reviews - here we come! (and yes, keeping the standard edition for £14 odd)

Time to write reviews on trust pilot. I've got mine too and it's like others. Bad feedback always works better.

Why didn't they just cancel the orders instead of sending the standard version.

Kinda sucks, but also its still a very cheap price overall...I've emailed them this morning but with no reply as of yet, so I'll end up keeping it and trade it in elsewhere :smiley:

Received the standard version too. Phoned shopto who said they've been made aware, it was a listing error and they don't have the Day 1 Steelbooks left. Only option is return for a full refund. Asked for a credit note or discount code towards a future purchase and was refused.

I will try get what I ordered as I can wait for standard edition to go below £10.
I have plenty of games to play in the meantime.

Going through quidco or TCB to bring it lower than Shopto price

Rakuten points to use on another purchase.

I knew there would be a catch somewhere. They should let customers know what they're sending beforehand if it isn't the same product listed.

Also, how can shopto get away with 0844 numbers still? I thought UK law stated you have to supply a 01, 02 or 03 number if you're selling online?

I've just spoken to Shopto and they've told me that all I can do is send it back for a full refund as they've run out of the Day 1 edition. So not sure whether to keep it or not as its still really cheap. But then I can afford to wait a few months till its cheaper.....

Can people please update on here as to how you got on with complaining and your resolution if any! :smiley:

They've also changed the description of the product page now as they must have realised they'd made an error. Cheeky tactics without telling the customer first.

It's definitely £12 instore. I picked one up the last one tonight at my Tesco. It's also marked up with a yellow reduced label at that price on the shelves.

Just the third brilliant deal I've missed in the past 2 weeks - first the £12 DSII for PS4, then the Fallout guide for hardcover and now this. What's even worse, I've missed all of them by literally minutes.

Perhaps my luck will change and I'll bag a great deal soon.

For what it's worth, the recent Mad Max misprice was honoured by them.

People in the other thread (non steelbook) are saying their ones have gone through at the reduce price (since that too has gone up).
