Is there really any point upgrading from Destiny to the Taken King? Not that I've looked to hard, but there doesn't seem an easy / cheap way to get just the Taken King part.

I think they have changed the use of codes now so you have to have an account and be logged in with it in order to use the code whereas previously you could just put the code in and pay with paypal and not need one at all.

You have to create an account with them first and login, before the discount code will work.

Can confirm that there is one key that will give you all expansions on entry. So unfortunately cannot give away any parts you don't need. I already have the expansions up to House of Wolves but bought physical Taken King as wanted another disc and it was cheaper than just the expansion at the time.

Top Game - had it since day one. Game is huge and well worth it at this price. Mechanics of the 6 player Co-op raids are awesome but main enjoyment comes from hooking up with players and making new friends on line. You can have 3 characters (Guardians) and share items between them.

They also continue to release new missions and activities (e.g. this week Sparrow (bike) racing was introduced for free).

If anyone does buy this deal - there are special missions and rewards for being referred by a "veteran" - so Private message me and I can give you a link to get you the extra quest and gear. I`m happy to support you through the first parts of the game and maybe become part of our regular team. The link must be used within 7 days of activation of your taken king code.

Yes - as long as you not used the physical codes you could re-sell as full package. The digital deal will give you everything in the box (original game + all expansions to date)

Ahh - I am not sure you will actually get a code. I think you will "purchase" and then the game and content will be added to your account for download. no codes involved. This is how all other digital content I have bought works.

I`m 99% sure this is the case, but will need someone to confirm this though.

It took psn UK forever to actually update their deals early this morning, I'd saw this online at 3am but had no active links as games on UK site were still full price. However the Legendary edition is definitely worth a shot at £25, even if you had the vanilla game. Bungie have been running a Refer a friend quest aswell which if you've never played taken king, you can link up with one of your friends that has and run a few quests which will give you some exclusive gear.

I know Destiny isn't the greatest game around, but its worth it at this deal. And the newly created Sparrow racing is really cool and been confirmed as a permanent fixture on cycle similar to iron banner. With Bungie also announcing more substantial content to come in both winter and summer.

Already had the original and also the first 2 DLC so I wasn't prepared to spend £40 for this one. £20 is about right for this DLC. Heat added

Played the game upon the initial release, found it a little shallow and aimless really. Anyone who's stuck with it, how's it moved on over the expansions? Seems a good price to be fair, and there's not much point having a physical release of this to be honest imo.

Anyone got a working facebook code I can use? Played destiny on release and it sucked but it has been much improved since and the legendary edition is worth the price now.

They last 15 minutes and be acquired here. That page doesn't require a Facebook account to use and you can type anything into the box (it doesn't have to be an email address).

Thanks a lot, the code wasn't working for me then I realised you need to login for it to apply. So if you try and use the code as a guest it wont work.

You won't get (or don't need) a DLC code from the PSN store the purchase is linked to your account and you download it onto the system you've logged onto.

The base game is on the disc, wether you wanted to play the DLC or not you are forced to download a large update file. This file carries all DLC, when you enter a legendary edition code this will unlock all DLC. Future game updates will add to the update file earlier downloaded.

Also don't debate wether to get it at this price it is a must.

Cheers. When I went to the page and scrolled down the "login or signup" overlay would come up from the bottom of the screen, obscuring access to the email entry field.
I eventually found that if I click on the webpage (in a blank area) I can "tab" to the email entry field and enter a junk email address and press return, that then gave me a valid code to use. Nice. :smiley:

If you're new to Destiny, this is a great deal. For any existing vanilla players, you basically screwed over having to re-buy content you already had

Yeah the DLC codes ensure that the resell value is minimal here.. Just over 20 quid for this isn't bad at all. Although to be honest, this is what should have released in 2014, shame it's taken to 3 weeks away from 2016 to get it right. Same happened with Driveclub, games keep getting released half baked.

Well I've bit the bullet and messed about with cdkeys and ordered and downloading. I have the first version on disc, but have had to delete all the content from the hdd first. Hopefully it'll use everything I built up before.

This is one of those games that you may as well just get digitally since it is worth nothing at trade in value anyway.

i own the base game. should i get the complete pack for the bonus weapon stuff or the addons only for the instant level 25 char upgrade?
it seems that the level 25 boost is only in the taken king pack but not in the legendary edition.

£21.84 (well £21.59 and 25p psn credit) is fantastic for what you get. Not much re-sale value anyway due to the expansions coming as a code rather than on disc so going digital with this is fine. Time to finally see what the fuss is about!

Decisions decisions. Already own this on Xbox One - and have two Xbox consoles so me and my partner can play together.
Very tempted to get this but, not as fun without playing with my partner, so buying this would cost an extra £250 on top for another PS4 and that isn't saving money :-|
