No they changed it after a few hours and then singled it out. I would guess they have a monitoring system that probably spiked as this became popular leading them to rapidly reduce the cashback. That's my guess anyway!

This deal wasn't singled out and was part of the 7% before, right? I don't recall seeing it at the bottom before...
Also, for anyone who purchased this, did your cashback track at 1% or 7%?

Having kept an eye on the deals over the last few weeks, I went for this one yesterday as it seems a great price for what is included.
However, I don't know if it has happened to anyone else who has bought one, but halfway through installing Battlefront the system just shut off suddenly, as if it had lost all power.
I turned it on again, finished installing, but then the same thing happened. In all it happened 4 times in the space of about 2-3 hours. Admittedly I was able to play it for about 45 mins non-stop before turning it off for the night, just am wondering if it has happened to anyone else
It is the new C-Chassis model, so would've thought there wouldn't be any issues with it? Thoughts? Is it worth taking back for an exchange?
Neobrown to RedRasher
10 Dec 15#50
I wouldnt risk it. Take it back as soon as you can, and they'll exchange the console for you.
Argos are usual straight forward with faulty exchanges.

The console is a limited edition with Darth Vader on the side, Darth controller and the deluxe edition of Battlefront along with the extra game makes it a really good deal, it's even better if he is a Star Wars fan, it's the one I have got from my wife for chrimbo.
Would anyone be able to tell me what the difference is in the different chassis? Is it just what it looks like?

The new C Chassiss is alot less noisey, which can be a big annoyance.
Imagine playing a blu ray and having a buzzing/humming noise all the way through.
Also the new C Chassiss uses less power and doesnt get as hot.

Yeah. It says on the TCB website that its 7.35% for games and consoles but didn't track that for me. I'm trying to raise a claim at the moment but the website seems to be having problems.

Hard copy games use less space than downloaded ones because the data that's on the disc is there already and there's no need to download the full game. You'll usually have to download updates and additional files as the console prompts you to or does it automatically depending on your settings.
However these are usually far less data than a game you'd download in full.
Don't be afraid of getting a 500gb version, it's still a lot of room and the hard drive can be upgraded if necessary but shouldn't be needed in most cases.
Any further questions I can help with, feel free to pm.
Heat for the deal BTW, still looking for a second ps4 to have at the Mrs' place (don't tell her though!)

I'm mainly a physical games buyer. So I can delete the game data (presume that takes most space) and keep the save files. What about any multiplayer data, would that get deleted with the game data. I'm been holding off getting one for a while because of my not so good understanding of the storage space and whether I do actually need to get a 1TB :s

Your partner would appreciate this bundle tbh, as it has 2 of the latest games.
Others have said 500gb has been enough space for them.
How many games did he have on his ps3 or xbox360?
Did he download games or buy the disks?
Would he usually sell his old games for new games?
Answer those and it'll be clearer what deal would benefit him more

9 Dec 15#14
you don't have to get the larger capacity version, I'm a fairly active player, getting a couple of new games a month.
Unless you are adamant on keeping all of your downloaded data for every game you shouldn't run out any time soon.
I've had 20 to 30 games for my ps4 since buying , a mix of disc and downloaded and I've still got 200gb space left by simply removing the game data once I finish a game. You can still keep the save files like I have and re-download anything you've previously bought at any point with no further charges.
It's a luxury, not a necessity.

PS4 1TB Star Wars Battlefront Bundle with Unchartered Nathan Drake Collection = £329.99 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4488611.htm#pdpPromotions

Star Wars Battlefront, Bloodborne & FIFA 16 - Steelbook looks good.
