Where's the mic? Is it built into the earpieces?

Yes the mic is by no means amazing. But it is decent for a built in mic. Never had any complaints from friends when I used it.

You can actually use them on your computer too. Take a look here.
I've had the PS3 one for a number of years and still works perfectly. Even works on PS4 and on my Laptop. Does require a bit of effort to get it set up on a computer but worth it.

They're not. They work perfectly fine (headphones & mic) on both my Windows PC & mini Android PC/Media player. I'm not sure if the work on XBone though.
Like everybody else though my headband snapped by the hinge after about 6 months.

Not a standard price...normally £60-£70.
And why lol????
Also, for partners at John Lewis, they get an extra 12%, so could be £44 mark for some.

Got this for my husband from Amazon for £80.00 last year Christmas so I must say this is very good price. The head set is very good too cuz most of his mates say that they can hear him better with the headset than the one ear piece that the ps4 normally comes with. Lol

that's not saying much, the one that comes with the console is possibly the worst headset ever made. You'd feel robbed if you got them in a Christmas cracker. But these ones are supposed to be good.

Not Bluetooth. Uses dongle which plugs into PS4/PS3 for wireless connectivity.

This is the best value headset for PS3 & 4 even at full price outperforming many more expensive alternatives. Whilst GameStop may be advertising a slightly lower price, I've recently had a bad experience with them and will never use them again. The plus with John Lewis in addition to their excellent customer service is the 2 year warranty. Heat from me!

Fantastic headset for PS4 with virtual surround sound. Had since launch of PS4 with no issues. Also use on PC but are stereo only.

Are they over the ear or do they sit on ear? I really don't like headphones that sit on the ear as they tend to cause me discomfort after a short space of time.

I buy a stupid amount of headsets. I'm using right now while typing and in TeamSpeak my HyperX Cloud 2 headset. I use my A50's these days on my PS4. The Sony 2.0 headset was one of the comfiest headset I've owned more so than the A50's because the A50's is a little heavier. The sound whoring if you play shooters are great on the Sony 2.0, the best I've heard. Overall sound isn't the best, but for the price easy wins over anything. Quality wise mine have lasted over year before I sold them, still looking as new. Why did I sell them mic is so much better on the A50's makes for better streaming.

These are over the ear like the PS3 ones.

The mic in the standard headset / earpiece is actually of much better quallity than people realise, look at sound tests, in fact its probably better than the one on this £50 headset
