Yes this is the new chassis, I went on to the argos app and there selling the exact console for a different price. I looked at the image and zoomed in and it's CUH 1216. SO yes this is the new model

basically it's a slight quieter version which uses slightly less power, but it's not like the early models of the PS4 are anything like the early xbox360 which sound like a jet engine by comparison. Certainly nicer to have but don't pass up a good ps4 bundle because of it

Basically this, it has lower power consumption, quieter, mechanical buttons on the front and doesn't have the look-at-me-and-I'll-scratch glossy HDD cover. My newer model is so much quieter than my launch PS4!

the newer c chassis uses less power , creates less heat and if i remember correctly some other components are uprated too.
