Yes they do.
My Aldi grinders have done really well.
With 1200w, this should cut decently - a lot better than the cheap 500w B&Q ones.
Go for 1mm discs for nice cuts, but expect them to wear quickly.

Probably used mostly for the sanding/buffing/ageing aspect but I have cut plenty of stuff with an old angle grinder with a wood cutting disc no problem....easy work.

The Aldi one has variable speed control which is not common in cheap grinders and useful
