16.99 on amazon, limited deal for the next 6 days. PC advisors rated it as the second best portable charger. Seems like a bargain. No doubt it will charge a phone 3 times, which is more than enough.

Would never touch gearbest again, absolutely terrible customer service when things go wrong
Can't fault them for speed of delivery from Hong Kong with expedited delivery, literally took a few days but they sent me the wrong item.....return policy states that of its
their mistake then they'll refund or replace without sending the wrong item back, would they stick to this? Would they heck!
Not even PayPal would enforce their returns policy and wanted me to post it back.....£40 to post a £50 item back?!? No chance
Do yourself a favour and pay a little bit extra elsewhere

Heads up to anyone who has purchased a powerbank from Gearbest
I purchased two Xiaomi 10,000mah powerbanks from Gearbest. One in September and one in early Dec.
The one from September is genuine but the recent one from December arrived and is 100% fake. It's noticeably lower quality from the original genuine one and visibly different in several ways. The strange thing is that it checks out on the mi.com verify site so this is no longer a reliable way of verifying Xiaomi products. Perhaps Gearbest are putting fakes into genuine boxes.

Do not purchase anything from Gearbest.
I received a faulty phone which then died. They offered partial refund or me pay to return to China.
Absolute nightmare company to deal with!

I got one of these from Banggood a couple of months ago (£7 something and took just over a week to arrive) and it's excellent - a real high quality item.
When I last used it, It charged my PS4 pad once and my Samsung S4 Mini a couple of times with some spare capacity left (I haven't drained it fully yet).
Also has pass-through charging too which is fab as my old, much more expensive power bank didn't.

Do either of you know if this 'pass-through' bypasses the batteries to charge the device plugged into it, and then charges the powerbank. Or if it charges the batteries whilst charging the power bank? As the former is good and the latter will greatly reduce the useful lifespan of the powerbank.

Using the code 2015xmas at the checkout makes this £10.56. Bargain.

I have one of these from gearbest and the nice thing about the Mi Powerbank is that it has passthru charging so you can charge your powerbank and the phone at the same time. Although it does extend the time taken to charge both.
No, its actually a rather clever system. There's a scratch panel; on the side of the product box which reveals a unique code. You then visit the manufacturer's web site and enter the code. Not only do they tell you if the code is genuine, but they tell you how many times that specific code has been enquired about (and it should only be once of course).
So there!

I've bought 4 of these now. Fantastic charger. I can fully charge my Windows tablet and my Android phone from one charge of this, or do my phone around 2-3 times. Great value for money.

A piece of printed paper? why do you think that can't be faked?
In China, everything is copied. Often the copies make it to the market even before the real one.

You have to ask: will they pay out if this starts a fire? I doubt it.

This is from a proper manufacturer (Mi) who are well known in the mobile tech world, all safety standards are met and uses Texas Instruments chipsets to regulate the power output, this isn't a hoverboard.

Bought one last time from gearbest and it arrived and is very good and smaller than i expected. The actual charging capacity is around 6000-7000mAh as are all these chargers.
Charges my LG G4 (3000mAh) just under 3 times from around the 10% mark upto 100%
Well worth the money if you don't mind a few weeks wait

Good charger, approx 2.5 to 3 charges of my phone -a H.7. No problems at all with Gearbest, apart from China Warehouse delays - but you pays your money - or not!

I ordered a previous hot power bank, it shipped on the 5th from Sweden, no sign of it yet. Doesn't mean it won't arrive, just don't expect stuff from Gearbest to arrive any time soon, even from their EU warehouse.
