A word of warning to anybody thinking of buying this. I reserved this from PC World/Currys on Black Friday and attempted to collect from the Telford store on the Sunday.
1) They tried to fob me off with the 3 month entertainment package despite the fact it has a different barcode.
2) They then tried to charge me £39,99 claiming the offer had ended,
Says it all about this bunch of jokers really.

Yep - bought my mum one for Christmas on Sunday bundled with 4 months movies for the same price from Currys....bargain, but like you say, pretty much standard price at the moment...

I really liked now TV but had lots problems when I cancelled my subscription. For some reason it automatically renewed itself. Then had hell of game getting now TV too remove my credit card details. In my option it should be free for people who already have the equivalent SKY package from SKY or at least heavily discounted (not just for 6 months)

Why would you buy this is you already have the sky equivalent?

sky go is pretty good if you have a sky sub.

Loved my now TV box. I used it while on holiday, however, sky have blocked the function to be able to teather the now TV box from my phones mobile internet. Unfortunately it is now little use to me, so sky have lost my custom.
I personally have never paid the full subscription rate as it is way overpriced.
That said, this is a decent deal, at least for the 6 months, or 4 months with the movies bundle

Surely that's not true, I want to use mine in the caravan via my mobile phone. If this is true then I won't bother again.

Not as cheap or convenient as a Now TV box though, is it?

Not as good as the £19 Tesco deal so cold.......
only joking, HOT. Highly recommended this, had mine for a week now and love it. Just remember to do the 2 week free trial for entertainment and movies before using your voucher.

For those of you looking to get a decent selection of tv channels for a low price you should look at https://tvplayer.com/channels/ This website and apps for your devices lets you stream 25 premium channels for £5/month. A much cheaper alternative to full sky subscription assuming that it has the channels you want. Think the channels are only in SD though.
Also available at Amazon for same price if you have Prime.

I was wondering this. For the movies are not worth more than 5 quid a month. don't get me wrong great to start with as there is a massive selection but once you have watched them from the catalogue you are then lucky to get 2 good movies a month ;-( will switch to on demand payg once special offers stop.

I thought the same thing before I signed up.
You just cancel straight away but you can still watch until the free sub ends. Checked my account and it says that I won't be billed again.
Did you cancel before your free pass ended?

Reserved one in Currys on Mansfield Rd Nottm, they couldn't find it as they only had one in store, so I ended up getting 2 boxes both with the 3 mth entertainment pack discounted to £19.99  The advisor did bring out just one at first, then I pointed out it was only 3 and not 6 mths, plus its a different item code, that's why they upheld price I think! Bargain, not that I need 2 boxes only the 2 codes but at least they honoured it.

Hi. Could someone please clarify whether the box sets are free to watch on the entertainment package once the package is purchased, or do you have to pay to additional costs to access each box set. Thanks.

Once your entertainment pass is activated you can watch any box sets and all tv programmes available on Now TV. No additional charge for anything.

A bargain for the Sky content in HD.
Am I right in thinking live Sky Sports and on demand (not 'live') entertainment and movies is now all available in HD on Now TV?

Just to point out I bought two on the lightning deals. One Movies one entertainment. I opened the movie one only to find the box seal cut, as you can guess there was no pass in it. I would have spent hours trying to find out how to get the thing going, but for checking the other box & seeing what a pass looked like. Then tons of mucking about returning the first box & waiting in again for it's replacement.

Yes it is true unfortunately. I used it in my caravan. It did work when i first got it, but not anymore...they somehow know when you are tethering from a phone and now they block it. I was really annoyed about it to be honest.
I have plenty of tethering allowance, and tethering in general works...so i know its not my phone!
I dont know if it would work by using the mi-fi dongle for internet, but thats just another expense anyway

If you buy this do you have to give your credit card details when you create an account and if so do you have to remember to cancel after the six months? Or can you simply apply the voucher without them having payment details and watch til it runs out?

Love these boxes, I'm an IT contractor and work away from home a lot, I can take along one of these, plug into the WIFI of whatever digs I have and can access my Movies and Entertainment packages wherever I am, must have saved £1000's from the pub!

I use my box at home, and the app on my mobile or tablet when out and about. What I really like is it remembers where your up to for anything you watch, so if I'm half way through an episode of something on my mobile, when I get home the box carries on from where I left off.

Bought 1 from Tescos for £19 a couple of weeks ago, just got 2 more from here just for the passes.
18 months Now TV for less than £60, £3.33 per month, Disney alone on Virgin would cost more than this and my daughter loves that.
Bargain!

Yes. I contacted them by live chat. They sent an email with the instructions to print out the return label & how to return & a replacement was with us within a couple of days. Very good service on Amazons part. BUT I had to get the printer out of the box/ set it up, waste ink, repackage the Now box & wasting petrol & time waiting in the queue of the post office. This may seem a trivial thing but it wasted a lot of time & money on something I shouldn't have had to do, had the package been checked before it was sent out. My guess is it was either a member of staff, thus I imagine it may be on CCTV, but more likely, a customer removed the pass & then sent it back as not wanted, if so it clearly was not checked.

Yeh I agree. Lots of time and energy wasted. That's my concern about buying online. Whenever I have bought from Argos/currys I make it a point to open the box and check the pass is there before I take it away.
