Not sure if already posted but was looking in the M/cr branch where the assistant told me that they were able to put these through at the till as 2 for £20. The official offer is if bought with a telly or something but they are able to do this nationally apparently.
Any package is included, bought 2 Sky Sports packages as pressies for £20.
Hope it helps :)

Not really fair to blame the device though, complain to your ISP instead, poor internet is their fault, in this day and age no one should have to suffer crappy internet, yet too many still do.
However blaming the now tv box because it performs poorly on ropey connections is like blaming your TV for getting poor reception when you try to use a old coat hanger as the aerial! If your not giving it a good signal (whether that be tv or internet) you can't really expect great results...

its to stream content from the web, so obviously if you have poor net speed then not suitable, what else do you expect

Surely this would apply to any streaming device you might buy? The problem is not the appliance, it's your shoddy Internet connection.

Yeah at least, possibly a bit more if you mention plex in title and description as a lot of people like them to come with it on and adds something over the standard ones you can get in the shops....

Correct. I'm sure the movies will be available in 1080 soonish.
Entertainment pass is 6.00 a month, movies pass is a tenner a month - this is much better value than subscribing to Sky.

Also worth pointing out that 'Live' movies are only streamed in SD, whatever your Broadband speed. The movies from the On Demand Sky catalogue though are streamed in (maximum) 720p.
What is the point of streaming the movies live when they are available is catchup?

Read somewhere in last few days that the new black box ones have been a bit troublesome,so if you can get an old white one still then go for that.

Ignore this, they work fine and they are full 1080 HD. The old white ones are 720p with no Ethernet connection.

No problem with 2 black boxes on wifi.
I do find that a movie has finished and I have left it alone for a. few hours, I have to press the home button then jump on the NowTv app.
Otherwise selecting a movie straight away after one has finished is fine.

We're on our 2nd black box. The first went off after 30 mins use and wouldn't work again. No power going to it at all. Worked out well though as means we ended up with 8 months movie for £19 as Tesco replaced it.

At home I have 2 roku and 3 nowTV (2 white one black) and all work absolutely brilliantly. That said my main use is plex, but I do use nowTV over Christmas. We also have boxes at my OHs, my parents and most of my siblings and nobody has ever mentioned an issue other than my plex server going down once in a while, we're on 76mb fibre.

I found problems with the new box like freezing & nothing will work. I have to turn it off & back on. Could be a faulty box I've only tried the one out of the four I have. Only cause I have to de- register a device so I can set up a new one.
Now tv works fine on ps3, ps4, iPad & old white box.

I have 200mbs and it still has problems, box does become unresponsive even with solid wireless signal, with other devices using the same wireless connection suffering no drop in speed. That is with a heavy use household, using Ipad, Fire, Ipod and chromecast.
No matter how stable the connection, some boxes do have issues with loading up apps, streaming content and experiencing slow response times. Its not solely an issue with broadband speed but could well be the ISP throttling speeds at a certain time of day to ensure stability of service.
