I ended up having to do the following:
1. Uninstall Groove
2. Restart Windows 10
3. Use the Windows Store app rather than the web page to get at my purchases
4. 'Download' was now greyed out with a link above it saying 'you need to update your music app to download'
5. Clicked said link, which then re-installed Groove
6. Opened Groove, in which I could now see my Microsoft Account listed to sign in with
7. Switched back to the Windows Store app and clicked the now enabled 'Download' button
8. Finally saw my purchased albums being downloaded into Groove

This is what I did as I was having the same problem.
1. Got to xbox.com and log into your account.
2. It will ask you to confirm you accept the new T&C's. Do so.
3. From you xbox.com site got to Link Entertainment/Music
4. Click on link that says Xbox Music is now Groove
5. Click on link that says Shop for Music
6. From here it should allow you to purchase the music. It did for me

I can not get this to work at all...... Microsoft have decided I live in Canada ..... I have "changed my region" many times + it isn't helping

I don't have an xBox, nor a 'groove' app...... Am I out of luck??
I had all this hassle just because 10 or so years ago I let my then teenage son register for an Xbox live account in my name and good old Microsoft are like an Elephant, they never forget.
Anyway just do it and then you should be fine. Google it if you get stuck as there's loads out there. I think I had to log out and in a couple of times (Might be time related) before it agreed that I was actually in the UK.

This is only a pound and that is a price that almost nobody would quibble about. Yet again however, companies, (this time microsoft), put so much hassle in the way of obtaining it (Windows 10 etc) that it's not surprising that even at this price point people will turn to a "simple" pirated alternative.
I sometimes wonder whether senior execs in these huge organisations subscribe to Homer Simpson's "Do not press the Red button" school of learning.

Eventually found out how to download it. Press the android menu button (not the app menu) with the album open in groove and select make available offline.
Only thing now is my unrooted kit kat android phone doesn't let me write to external storage so can't move it from internal memory.

Bought this as it was a great price. HOWEVER, what a complete faff to purchase and download. After a lot of signing in and messing about, I managed to finally purchase (more luck than judgement). I now can't download. The option is there and it gives a message that the download will be 'split into 2 file and begin shortly'. It never happens.
So I now have Now92 sat in a One Drive account that I don't use. Brilliant.
If I was ever going to consider upgrading to Groove or One Drive, this has put me off for sure. Great Promotion guys :smiley:

Got it. - eventually.
Had to use Internet Explorer rather than Chrome to avoid the "not in your region" issue.
Also if you download it to your PC, then be careful as it will split the download into two zip files, but stupidly it gives the 2 files the same name - so make you you download each file to a separate location, otherwise one will overwrite the other and you'll end up with half an album!

This is a good deal. Voted hot. Already bought it on CD though. However, I cannot bring myself to purchase MP3 or AAC music. It has to be lossless for me. With fast internet connections and massive storage devices available, why are we so obsessed with saving a few MB for reduced audio fidelity? A 320Kbps MP3 is over 1000Kbps *less* than a typical 16-bit/44.1kHz CD. Maybe 10+ years ago MP3s made sense - and people called me mad back then for using FLAC. But really, today, no excuse for Microsoft, Amazon, Apple etc. selling 'lossy' music without a lossless option for those that want it.
But people still call me mad today. Oh well.

Here is the solution for those having region issues... (worked for me at least!)
Download Microsoft Groove on your mobile.
Login with your normal Microsoft account.
It will ask you to add xbox services. Click accept.
Once sorted. Log back in on the device you want to download on and purchase!

I am not sure if this will help, but I have had similar on Xbox store where it seems to insist I am in the US, but if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the web page then the current region is displayed in the bottom left hand corner...if you click on the country displayed then you can select another region.
Also trying a different browser (or even just starting an incognito or in-private session in existing browser) can help.

Anybody figured out the region thing? Keeps telling me the store region must match my account region . . . well, they are both UK! Tried calling customer service - but despite the fact they say on their site they are open 24/7, the offices are 'now closed'. For people have region conflict problem displaying the following message
"Please try again in a while. We’re doing some maintenance." from Chrome & or error if you try to go through the store.
Go toyour my profile "https://account.microsoft.com/profile#/" and select "Go to your Xbox profile"
Then add your name and accept the Terms & Conditions.
This should fix the problem.

I ended up having to do the following:
1. Uninstall Groove
2. Restart Windows 10
3. Use the Windows Store app rather than the web page to get at my purchases
4. 'Download' was now greyed out with a link above it saying 'you need to update your music app to download'
5. Clicked said link, which then re-installed Groove
6. Opened Groove, in which I could now see my Microsoft Account listed to sign in with
7. Switched back to the Windows Store app and clicked the now enabled 'Download' button
8. Finally saw my purchased albums being downloaded into Groove

4. Click on link that says Xbox Music is now Groove

I have restarted my pc .... after changing my region .... and that hasn't worked either
I don't have an xBox, nor a 'groove' app...... Am I out of luck??
Even if you don't have an Xbox live account or rather you think you don't. You do in the eyes of Microsoft. Just go to the following page and follow the process to change your billing address to be in the UK. https://commerce.microsoft.com/PaymentHub/Help/Right?helppagename=BILLING_PROC_ChangeBillingCountry
I had all this hassle just because 10 or so years ago I let my then teenage son register for an Xbox live account in my name and good old Microsoft are like an Elephant, they never forget.
Anyway just do it and then you should be fine. Google it if you get stuck as there's loads out there. I think I had to log out and in a couple of times (Might be time related) before it agreed that I was actually in the UK.
I sometimes wonder whether senior execs in these huge organisations subscribe to Homer Simpson's "Do not press the Red button" school of learning.

*Just bought Elvis and it downloaded straight away so maybe they've fixed all issues now.
you need download extra app called groove.
which needs lots of access and you can't play off line
Only thing now is my unrooted kit kat android phone doesn't let me write to external storage so can't move it from internal memory.
Sadly have to admit I've just listened to bits and pieces of the Meghan Trainor album and well I actually really *cough* like it as quite a lot of it seems to be quite, ehm well, catchy...should know better at my age or perhaps my hearing isn't quite what it used to be...lol...

So I now have Now92 sat in a One Drive account that I don't use. Brilliant.

Rubbish these days, and not just saying that cos I am in my forties. For example The Muley Cyrus 'paedo' video, terrible rubbish.
Had to use Internet Explorer rather than Chrome to avoid the "not in your region" issue.
Also if you download it to your PC, then be careful as it will split the download into two zip files, but stupidly it gives the 2 files the same name - so make you you download each file to a separate location, otherwise one will overwrite the other and you'll end up with half an album!

Login with your normal Microsoft account.
It will ask you to add xbox services. Click accept.
Once sorted. Log back in on the device you want to download on and purchase!
