I got one of these a couple months ago, same deal , same website. mine turned up in an Italian box, so instructions and AR cards were in Italian too. plays uk games so not too much of a problem. I emailed pixel electronics and they just sent me a link for English instructions. just a heads up.

I bought this, it took over 2 weeks to arrive. My super points were then awarded and expired on the same day with exactly zero chance of spending them. I emailed rakuten and got no reply at all.

I won't bother again.

I got this for 135£ with 25 times the points and had absolutely no issues in receiving or spending them, I got myself 2 free games out of the points.

That said if you are short or far sighted and have different dioptre on different eyes the 3d part of the system just won't work (as in my case) other people seem to think it is amazing though...

The only game that doesn't work on the old 3DS is Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, to my knowledge. Majora's Mask 3D uses the second stick (more of a pressure pad than a stick though) for the camera, but you can use the circle pad pro peripheral for the old model if you're bothered about that. Not much difference between the two models apart from the above. I sold my old 3DS and got the new one. Just make sure to transfer your content before selling the whole model, as Nintendo's process for transferring over purchases is nowhere near as friendly as pretty much any other service out there.

Thinking of buying the 3ds XL for the refresh of the old Pokemon games coming out early next year. Are Nintendo planning on a new hand held console? Been a good few years now with the 3ds.

The points are some sort of cashback you get from Rakuten, this deal works out as getting you the device for 135£ and then giving you 2250 "super points" which you can spend on anything on the store.

I got pokemon X (18£ at the time but that sold out pretty fast) and Legend of Zelda A link between worlds (for about 13£) but I got 25 times the points instead of 15 times, so I had about 35£ to spend rather than 22£ you get now.

I was just trying to show that you don't always have a problem with the points etc, they should be viewed as quidoc/tcb and you should check the T&C's which tell you when they are awarded (1 week after dispatch) and how long can you use them (depends on the offer).
