The final day of the Nintendo 'Cyber Deals' event.
Xenoblade Chronicles has been reduced from £17.99 to £8.99. It's an incredible JRPG and is definitely worth it at this price if you haven't played it yet. The best thing about this version is that it's also fully playable on the gamepad.
Bayonetta 2 is also available for £23.99
As always you need to access the eShop via your Wii U to buy, Nintendo don't have a web version of the eShop unfortunately. Offers expire midnight 30th November.
How to get some discounted eShop credit:
You can buy a £25 eShop gift code for £20.69 via cdkeys.com (2% Quidco also available):
Apply the discount code "CDKEYSCYBER10" at checkout to bring the total to £20.69
Add the £25 top-up to your Nintendo eShop account and spend away!

Pretty sure you aren't going to find a better Xenoblade deal. Plus you can play it on the controller alone. I own it on the Wii and I'm still tempted.

Take it from someone who has wasted hundreds (multiple playthroughs) of hours on this game. £9 is a steal. You can't go wrong at this price, if you enjoy rpgs.

Works with gamepad.
If you buy this, you get £10 off digital Xenoblade Chronicles X (bringing it down to £40).
I already own this, but couldn't skip this being so low. This makes up for the utter shambles this 'sale' has been. I'll bet the downloads this gets will dwarf the others, and if so I hope they pay attention for next time.

They'll certainly notice but their stance is that you'll never see a top game like Mario World in the bargain bin so you can forget about anything more than 40% discounts on their first party releases.

That's not what I'm wanting to be honest, I just hope they put on a sale similar to what America got that's all (lots of reduced Indies).

Yes, but - to be fair, SM3DW is a Game of the Decade contender. An absolute triumph of graphics, sound and design all wrapped up in pure unadulterated joy. I own the furry sleeve edition and coupled with my Skyward Sword limited edition, my two priceless pieces of Nintendo magic.

Anyone do the Pandora's Tower and Last Story, too? I wasn't all that fussed on Pandora's tower and thought it got to be a bit of a chore. Really liked Last Story but Syrenne is where his eyes should have been wandering, not that soppy mare. Haven't started this because I've got loads of stuff to do and I'm scared of its hour draining powers as I loved to explore those crannies rather than just run through.

I have played it.
Going from my own experience, others and pretty much every gaming website to call it a contender for Game of the Decade is more than far fetched.
Each to their own but you're pretty much on your own with that shout.

It's a good game but it doesn't bring anything to the table compared to the actual greats.

Like I said I've never seen a individual or website described it as a contender for GOTD. Granted it's good but it's not that good/groundbreaking/breathtaking
Anyway on the topic at hand... I think this is a great deal but what with how long the game is and how with Nintendo's handling of digital products it will have 0 long term value not on disc, I don't think I'll ever play this so I guess I shouldn't buy it... sadly

If you add a 2nd NNID on your Wii U and set the region to Australia you can pick this up for under £7.

Just looking on the store, it says Xenoblade needs to be downloaded before you qualify for the money off. Which means having an external drive, which means I'll be sticking with the disk version of X. Shame, since CD keys have the £25 card for £20.69 at the moment.

The ultimate way to play this game is via Dolphin with the HD texture pack (which has been built up for years at this stage), it's really quite incredible and highly recommended if you have a decent PC. This version is great purely for the off-tv play on the gamepad though!
The final price would come to £21.84 (the discount code gives 5% off rather than 10% off), thanks for pointing out the reduction though - they've dropped the price from £23.99 to £22.99.

one of the few non wii u games to be able to play on the wii u gamepad controller without an external controller required. A truly great game and soundtrack that every wii u owner must buy especially for £8.99. If you're hesitating - don't, just buy it and enjoy one of the best video games on any platform. Have some heat and feel sorry for the people how paid loads more to get this experience.

People have said that if you buy this you can play the game entirely on the Wii U's gamepad. Is that also true if you buy the original, non-digital Wii/disc version?

Wow, that was a quick response, especially at this time of night! Thanks for letting me know - that's a shame, and I've just missed the deal as well! Although it will still probably be cheaper to buy it at £17.99 than buy a disc copy.
That said, I could still use the gamepad as a display for the game, right? I would just need to use separate controls, and the game supports both Wii remote/nunchuk and classic controller. But if I remember right I can't use a Wii U pro controller as a classic controller can I? I've got a pro but not a classic...

No problem, I was just expiring the deal!
Yes that's all correct, you can't use the Wii U pro controller as a Classic controller. As far as I know you can't even use the Wii U pro controller with the eShop version, only the gamepad or the original Wii control options.
As you stated with the disc copy you can use the gamepad as a display but you'd have to use an original Wii control option - remote + nunchuck or remote + classic controller.

Just tested out the game on the gamepad and definitely loving the idea of being able to play the game with the gamepad and looks good too! Just a shame they didn't do it for £8.99 when first released like metroid prime trilogy was on offer for £8.99 so that i could have delved into XC prior to XCX coming out in a few days!
