The Nikon D3300 DSLR Camera with 18-55 mm ED f/3.5-5.6G & 55-200 mm f/4.5-5.6G Telephoto Lens allows you to capture amazing moments in glorious high quality.
Unforgettable memories, unforgettable photos
Small and lightweight, there's nothing insubstantial about 24.2 megapixels of superb resolution. A large 23.5 x 15.6 mm CMOS sensor displays remarkable light sensitivity, rendering details with amazing sharpness and performing well in low light with an ISO range of 100 to 12800 (extendable to 25600 equivalent).
Your images will be packed with fine textures and natural colours to really capture the atmosphere of any situation, thanks to the camera's freedom from an optical low-pass filter (OLPF).
Capture clear, colourful photographs in all manner of lighting conditions as the camera's EXPEED 4 image processor goes to work, delivering gorgeous photos every time. This fast, powerful image tool lets the camera work at high speeds and offers enhanced noise reduction.
Twin lens kit
You'll be able to get shooting right out of the box, since the Nikon D3300 DSLR comes with an 18-55 mm ED f/3.5-5.6G & 55-200 mm f/4.5-5.6G Telephoto Lens.
These versatile optics cover a broad zoom range to make everything from scenery to portrait photography that much easier. Achieve pleasing depth of field effects with a maximum aperture range of f/3.5 – 5.6, and take longer shots with a minimum aperture of f/22 – 36. Create gorgeous bokeh and get up close to the action - no photo opportunity will be out of reach.

It's debatable as to whether VR on 18-55 is really necessary, but it's a serious omission from the 55-200 lens. Still a good price for what you get, but it's really time that Nikon dropped the non-VR version of the 55-200, especially as there's only about £10 difference in the two, even at full price!

It's certainly not a necessity for daytime shooting, but can be extremely useful for low light shooting g as it allows you to use far longer shutter speeds without hand shake blurring the photo.

there is nothing misleading about it. no where does it mention vr or vrii lenses, however on John Lewis' website their photos show vrii lenses however description reads "vr" lenses and that's what was available in store, vr lenses.

Please note that these are not the VR lenses. I found it quite misleading.

You didn't find it misleading, you found it confusing! I'd even added a note in description saying non VR lens.
Opening post
Note: Kit lens is the non VR lens.
