One of the best JRPGs ever on PS3. It has been cheaper digitally a few times on PSN but I never seen it cheap for the physical copy. Have ordered one myself, hope it helps others too. :)
Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch is a heart-warming tale of a young boy called Oliver, who embarks on a journey into a parallel world to become a magician in an attempt to bring back his recently-deceased mother. Along the way Oliver encounters many new friends who help him learn and grow. He can also befriend the wonderful creatures that inhabit this parallel universe, turning them into pets that Oliver can raise and collect a whole menagerie of. Why, he can even use these critters to battle other creatures on his behalf! Join Oliver as he explores the vast new world and faces a variety of formidable enemies.
The unique fantasy adventure that is Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch is being developed by LEVEL-5, the studio behind the smash hits Dragon Quest 8 and 9, and the Professor Layton series. For the game's characters and animations, LEVEL-5 collaborated with the legendary Studio Ghibli, the team responsible for countless anime masterpieces including My Neighbour Totoro, Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away. The in-game music comes from the hand of Joe Hisaishi, the composer of the scores to over 100 films including many of Studio Ghibli's greatest productions.
In the game, the beauty of Studio Ghibli's hand-drawn animation has been perfectly reproduced, with the cel-shaded graphics engine producing stunning real-time animations of a quality normally only seen in their industry-leading feature films. In addition, Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch on PlayStation 3 brings a wealth of new content to the Ni No Kuni universe, with an additional cast of mysterious characters to meet, new areas to explore, and a whole different perspective on the involving story

I felt the same which surprised me as I like jrpg and love ghibli! it took a long time and has got a little better but I'm finding I need to grind a lot more than I have time for...
I'm enjoying it now though but not as much as expected

There's a lot of love for this game, but I started playing it recently and am finding it a bit of a chore if I'm honest. Admittedly I'm not that far into it (the desert area), but it hasn't really gripped me yet.

Get past the desert area and maybe dont focus too much on the side missions just yet (as they are very tedious at the start). The story becomes very enthralling after the desert/volcanic mountain bit.

In my top 3 games of all time. I wished there was more old style turn based games like this

This is the best JRPG since the FF series, well worth picking up.

I was really enjoying the game. The main character is annoying, but the fairy thing was awesome, so I could live with that.
Then... it just turned into pokemon :disappointed:

This game is near a gaddang masterpiece. Fingers crossed for a Ni no Kuni 2 announcement at PSX in 9 days time.

Studio Ghibli have folded, so a sequel isn't likely. Amazing game though. Amazing.

This has been £4 on the PSN so often, and probably will be again soon. I know some prefer physical, but for £4, c'mon...
